I don't agree with the day off (I probably won't make it... I say this a lot even when I can't make it, make a note of it!), but this is an American game!

    International? Who cares:

Since it's nowhere close to an international holiday such as christmas, it should most definitely be played. (and yes, I intend to watch it)

if captains want to schedule for saturday fine but a postponement or forced no sunday games for the superbowl would be a bad move

you mean 97.5 million viewers in the u.s. (it was 148.3 million worldwide.) 97.5 million is damn near a third of our population, and 65% of american televisions in use during the game were tuned into the super bowl. i don't care either way, just saying you should probably get your facts straight.

The game will be broadcast on Sky Sports and on BBC One with programming starting at 22:00 and at 23:00 GMT respectively. This will be one of only two NFL games broadcast on the BBC, the other being the international series. Sky Sports' NFL host, Kevin Cadle, will be in the studio with guests throughout the event, while co-presenter Nick Halling will be live in Tampa and will provide analysis live from the event itself.

The NBC game broadcast will be relayed live by ESPN, which is carried on pay TV networks Foxtel and Austar in Australia.

German television channel ARD Das Erste and Austrian channel ORF will begin live broadcasting from 00.00 CET. Swedish television channel TV6 will begin live broadcasting from 00:00 CET. RAI will broadcast live on Rai Due in Italy. The digital transmission will be in 16:9 and HD. TV3 will broadcast in Denmark. ESPN America will also broadcast in Europe.

ESPN Brasil will show the game in Brazil with Paulo Antunes (commentating), Everaldo Marques (play-by-play) and André Kfouri (on field).

SportTV will broadcast the game for Portugal. There will be two versions of the broadcast. One in Standard Definition, 4:3, and other in High Definition, 16:9.

In addition to [13 Sirius XM Radio] feeds, these feeds will also be available as well as the international broadcasters listed which will carry the game:

BBC Radio 5 Live (UK English; Arlo White)
    NTV Plus (Russian)
    France 2 (French)
    NHK Japan (Japanese)
    ARD (German)
    Telenet Belgium (Flemish)
    SMG (Mandarin Chinese)
    RAI (Italian)
    Sport1 (Hungarian)

If were gonna postpone/cancel TWL for the Superbowl, we need to cancel it for cricket, rugby, football, icehockey, curling, basketball, darts, ski jumping, ping pong and every other sport on the face of the planet.
The difference between those games and the Super Bowl is that the Super Bowl is a much larger event in terms of how many people watch it.
