What about allowing one or two squads on the ladder to be free of the double squadding rule but no points are givin or lost when they play games. Don't even show them on the TWD ladders. These players that are double squaddin on the roster could have some sort of vet tag or something on their names. Could go even further with this and have it so the bot only allows 2-3 "vet" tagged players in a match at a time. This would force them to play their non ds'in players.

We should really have "World" squads in EVERY league, that have a TWD profile and are on the ladder but can't make TWL, and with a dedicated roster but that when !add to bot, you can add players that aren't rostered, so you can have vets help out and hop on for them without having to leave their squad or make a huge commitment -- it would be kind of like volunteering.
Would be great way to transition people from Pub and let them play with good people but also kind of grow with other newbs.
You could actually have 2 "World" teams in each league, and people could eventually graduate to real squads (but still help out on World if they wanted to).

Aw..If you were a couple days quicker Jason we'd be talking about Delicious and not Tenure =P
Despite the fact we've gone on without the method of having doublesquadders we've been rather successful with having a group of more experienced guys on the sidelines pming and giving out pointers. We have also held private intrasquad matches where experienced guys can interact and help train the new guys with ships in Basing and Javelin. (not yet warbird though..unless anyone is willing to help there!)
So despite TWL going on you can still help, and it's rewarding seeing them do well in TWD matches with the help you give them. Just send a message to me online or tell me here if you want to at least join the chat where most of our trainers are on. It's only been a week but I am really enjoying this and really happy with all the help i've been getting around the TW zone. If this keeps going in the same path we may be forced to start a second squad :P

Just trying to be different here and i agree with everything royst has said up to now. New players are crutial and the more of them that stick to this game, the more entertainment it will bring and will keep this game surviving.
An idea could be somewhere along the lines of: when someone joins this game or has a usage of less than 300 and more than 2 hours- they should b invited automatically to a squad based on a choice: pick a ship they most like-e.g they choose jav... Would you like to join a jd squad to be trained to participate in 4 vs 4 jav competitions? If they say yes an invite will get sent to all active jav squads for any friendly captain to grab and pm the player of instructions. If a squad accepts- the player will be added to the 'new player' roster which is seperate from the exisiting player roster and mayb the more new players a squad gets on the New player roster- ? the higher the amount of points the squad gets after wining a game ?new title for most amount of new players trained? Idk.
Also when any new player joins they could be placed automatically in a help chat/ national squad chat for friendly help mostly ran by staff and captains looking to recruit and train. Any questions a new player has could b asked on the chat or ?help that they wont yet know about.
Meh im just being open minded and i no alot of what i said is silly but i hope to inspire people with a brain.Last edited by Fork; 05-17-2011, 06:51 PM.1:Hece> iv done good A (amphetamine) many times and ppl say u cant get your dick up on it..my dick works on every chemical i have tried so far

This idea is great and could have some crucial consequences. Mostly pub players don't know what's going on in the zone unless they stumble upon. A automatically invite (I would send it sooner) to captains of squads like Tenure and a chat could enhance indeed the interest in dd, jd, bd and who knows ld, lb, lj.
Why didn't anybody else active react on this, I barely read the forums

what if we message the new players and have seperate internal tw bot 'armies' and have them enlist
or draft them
maybe like army objectives, like throw all the online ppl on whatever freq and have them hold fr or 4v4 wb duels in spawn or some shitThe above text is a personal opinion of an individual and is not representative of the statements or opinions of Trench Wars or Trench Wars staff.

I think Tenure is doing great, the mix of vets and new guys has been a boon and already within two weeks have seen guys that were getting eaten alive playing alot better and forcing squads like Paladen and Anti-Scrub to play them seriously -- theyre putting time on the board and getting some wins which is great to see!
