TWL Season Seven Qualification

What bloodzombie said is correct. By removing those squads that are in the bottom of twl that isn't banishing them from TWL.. that just means that during twd they'll have to prove themselves better than the other squads that want those spots. If they deserve to be in TWL then they will be able to play good in TWD and take their spot back.

some of you are saying that its no big deal to have more squads dropped every season because all it does is force them to prove they belong there during the offseason. what i think some of you arent taking into account is that getting dropped from TWL is a huge blow to squad morale and will be a death sentence to some dropped squads...even the ones that are good enough to requalify through TWD. I can almost guarantee that a squad that finishes 13th or 14th in TWL is good enough to win its spot back in TWD if they are dropped....that is if they can survive the fallout of being dropped in the first place. members on such a squad will be much more likely to squadhop during the offseason. winning a twl spot for next season can act as a secondary reward for a halfway decent season for squads that dont make the playoffs, and will make it much more likely that these squads survive to the next season and keep the league somewhat continuous and stable.

You might not remember and I might be making this up, but right before the season there were a number of good squads who probably could have made an enjoyable little base game, even if it wasn't especially challenging. Also keep in mind that to this stock of teams that appear around the time leagues start (or selection for leagues start) we'd be adding the drop outs from the league ladder. Worst comes to worst, we'd wind up with the same teams.

My current vote is for 4-6 teams to be dropped out of automatic reentry. To keep my vote unpredjudiced I also vote WR be automatically forced to reearn their spot regardless of how well they do.

I say take the best twl squads, Elusive, Rampage, Shriek, cough cough Solstice... and have other qualifying squads face off against them. I mean these are the pick of the litter box man, if you cant beat these squads then theres no point in being in twl cuase your just going to be a easy win for em.

We need competition, not some pretty decent squad who hasn't won many games in the time they've been in leagues becuase they made it to twl cough cough dragonguard...

I started this off as a joke, but actually thinking about it, I dont think it's that bad of a idea, I mean if you cant hang with the top squads, theres no point in even trying.

way too many spots. if you're talking about dropping the bottom 8 squads in twl (plus whichever of the top ones decide to disband) you're looking at no connection between past and present leagues.

i think that would hurt the respectability of twl in the long run.

bottom 2 from each conference (4 in total) is enough i think, most twd squad, in all honesty, are not ready for twl, let's not ignore this fact, and in doing so, injure twl.

i do think a good addition to re-qualify would be activity in twd though. i like to know that a squad cares about the leagues it is in, and isn't just in them to be in them.

I wanna know why you people keep hating on solstice? We've won more matches then any other TWDD squad, we got into TWL, we worked hard to get there too. Just give us props and stop your hating.

Solstice has beaten the best squads in TW's and certainly for a fairly new squad. I mean squads like Melee, Pallies, Dragonguard, British Squad, No Surrender, Cripples, and so on are nothin to us. We want to duel rampage, elusive, shriek, and ummm *scratches head* other good squads...

Either way, stop hating on us, you aren't helpin anything, if you think we suck, prove it! We will be glad to back up are words in a match anyday, ty.

lol stylez, you havent even played a twl game yet, so stfu. how many times do we have to tell you, twd doesnt mean shit. its just practice for us, were already in twl. i havent played a single twd match with our whole starting line in javs basing or wbs in months. but since we probably won't get to face you in twl, we should set up a scrim with all our starters on some time. I still don't understand how your comparing yourself to squads like elusive and rampage when you just crawled up from the gutter.
