LOL, the self-medication is what makes me LESS intense. Can you imagine what I would be like without this? Trouble is, I usually reply in these forums while I'm at work so self-medication is not a part of this and I am also in 'work' mode. 'Work' mode, for me, is intense stress and problem solving, leading me to be a bit of an asshole in my replies. I'm sorry for coming across that way sometimes, I'm more laid back at home.

I thought eph was really onto something until he made that remark about all euros being noble and blah de blah. But rather than turn this into a war about that I'll stay on topic.

What if the settings were modified so that the flag gave a constant stream of points to the team that was holding it, instead of just a periodical reward?

No, no, no,...please understand....when I wrote it my intention was not to insult anyone.

My intention was to point out that even though it is currently 'fashionable' to be 'anti-American', it is not uniquely American to be selfish and self-centered. I did not mention Euros or anyone specifically, it was meant to be a general statement. I humbly apologize to anyone who took offense and I humbly apologize for throwing it into this thread since it has the potential to derail the original topic.
        It won’t happen again.

I'm tired of seeing the lag issue left up to the <ER>/staff member's discretion. Make a limit and stick with it, for fuck sakes.

Racing to a certain point level is definitely the best idea.

I think it was spastic/mambo the other day...

I was only halfway watching, but the way I understand it is that one team was winning by a wide margin.. let's say 60k. their terr lagged out and I think they were out of subs. but if they don't attack, they might win, right? so they get extra subs because they need a terr, you're just breaking more rules to make up for a flawed game.

Now change hte rules so that you're racing to 100k and everything works out for the team that managed to keep all their guys in within the existing rules.

even if I'm wrong about the part where they were out of subs, doesn't really matter. if they're sitting on the flag waiting for the other team to get their shit together, the longer they wait, the better for them.

Race to 100k is how it should be.

You might have to test which amount of pts is the best. 100k to me seems a bit low. Also, will there a time limit to the game?

A Time limit might help, keep it 30 minutes i'd say. Make it 150k or 200k for a longer game. This should be tested out

The average amount of total points scored in a 30 minute game is somewhere close to 200k, so a close match would probably last 30 minutes. The maximum amount of points to reach would be 125k, because a close game to that score would last 30-40 minutes, which is plenty of basing.

100k would probably be a good number. If you look at the past TWLB games this season that were close, most teams ended up with a little over 100k points.

Yah most squads are run weirdly I'd say though that every squad I've ever ran has always followed the mantra of "everyone gets playing time". We achieved that pretty well this season. If you look at our games, basically everyone on Elusive played in all types of games, hard, easy and so on. I guess it's easier to do that when you have the smallest roster in TWL (besides Value after everyone ditched that squad) but hey that's why we keep it small

And I think Spastic is quite good about that from what I hear... quite an experiement as a real democratic squad.

If you make it a race to a certain amount of points, then you at least have to add a "win-by-something" rule.

During the game, as I sat on the bench, I tried to be a team player and call out the flag bell to the team. Guess what? Captain flames me at end of game for being 2 seconds late on 2 of the bell rings. Frankly, Disoblige had/has some of the most decent human beings in it, better than most squads.
                              That we all regret.
It's not that we didn't appreciate the effort, but truthfully, if you're going to be two seconds late, you're not helping.
