the only sqiads that will defend squad hopping are the ones that either benefit from it, or at least don't lose anything.

it dawned on me one day that random_player#1 can be the nicest guy, funny and all that shit, and never have a chance on a decent squad.

then he gets on paladen, he has a few friends that vote him in and such, blablabla, he's got a chance to play some twds. okay, now he's into tw leagues and such, and really wants to play with a good team, so he asks elusdicate if he can join, they turn him away calling him a newbie, no matter, he lives on

a few days later he finds that paladen doesn't play in twl, so when a friend of his from paladen joins cripples, he goes with him. cripples is cool, funny guys and they play leagues, so he's having a blast. until they get blown out of the water in a twl game watched by 80 people.

after this game random_player#1 finds that the guys on cripples don't really care enough about winning for his liking, it's a matter of opinion after all, he doesn't hold it against them and he moves on to a squad like dragonguard. it's a midlevel squad, he fits in well, a bunch of guys with some potential who are learnin the ropes. maybe a whole season goes by, they don't do too poorly, beating the squads they should beat, losing to the squads they should lose too.

okay, so twl ends and dragonguard's captains figure it's time to disband the squad, random_player#1 is a little disappointed, he has lost this squad he had a great time on. he figures okay, where should i go? after being turned down again by the same guys as before but now on a squad called rampnobi, he finds a nice place on a squad led by warthog, let's call it "essence".

he's heard alot of stuff about how warthog's squads always dissolve and whatnot, but it seems like a cool place, so he enlists and has a blast, by this time our random_player#1 has gotten pretty good. mvping a bunch and making a top 20 rank in elim.

essence makes it to the top 5 in the twdd ladder and random_player#1 is having a blast, his squad is cool and all that. . . then chaos enters his world!

-Cyninal- asks him to join! now it's been maybe 2 or 3 years since he first asked to join one of these "1337" squads, and he finally has the chance. after being rejected 15 times by the same people on different squads with names that are supposed to sound mean and scary, he has a chance, and those people are suckin up to him hard core to get him to jump ship.

so he finally does, warthog sheds a couple tears and figures it's time to go on a hardcore banning spree of all the guys who just jacked this good player from his squad, but life moves on,

it is after all, trench wars. . .


the moral of the story: anybody who squadhops, these people on your new squad don't actually give a damn about you, they just care about winning, or maybe even making it so that your old squad can't win. ride the bench with them and remember about times long past when you used to be somebody and have actual friends on this game.

ti's a game after all, stay (or i guess go) where yer gonna have fun. . . but don't do the best squad wins kind of ideology, cuz you'd be nothing without the paladens and dragonguards and essences, the people who were actually friends with you and did give you a chance. . .
