Dream Teams- Circa 3

1.) I suppose I haven't sharked enough in the "lime light" to become recognized.

2.) I'm an aggressive (sometimes overly so) shark.

3.) People tend to notice the passive sharks who time their reps well and don't mine all that often. Conservatism seems to be "in" right now. What about the shark who pulls off a positive record, with minimal teamkilling of course? Or how about the shark who may abandon his terr, but at the same time puts constant pressure on the enemy terr? Or the shark who manages to completely bogart, if you will, the flag in fr battles? Sharks like this are thought to be too wreckless to deserve even an honorable mention. You only see the pussies who hang back and don't rush into the fray, which mind you is a perfectly viable (also tried and true) methodology, getting accolades. That's not cool, in my opinion.

And I agree with Stab. Not saying that "the vets" can't perform anymore, just that some new people may be a surprise this season.

Jason, you can hold the flag as a shark while being conservative. Being aggressive, and mining blindly are two different things. By mining blindly I mean, not having ANYONE around your mine when you put it down... the only time i'll mine blindly is when we just took fr, the nme terr has made it up main tube and i put two mines at end of entrance (right under the skinny part of the wall).

All sharks try to get kills, but these days know enough not to mine unless they KNOW they can get a kill without tking. That means, no blind mining, which a lot of the older sharks used to do. Things have changed, for the better? Sure I guess you could say that.

Who says you have to mine? I rock the proverbial casbah time and time again with a well placed/timed EMP barrelling down the throats of my opponent(s). My aggressive style is much more centered around EMP'ing than "blind mining" as you put it.

But a good "conservative" team of sharks won't both be dead at the same time in most fr battles. I think it's much harder to be an agressive shark as it used to be, because of sharks seemingly knowing what their teamate shark is going to do, and when. Maybe it's the lack of agression? Who knows, all I know, is there aren't many who can pull of a well time emp bomb in the middle of an fr battle against a good team of sharks that are on their toes.

anyways, i agree with alot of the names on the list, but one thing alot of people are forgetting is that the so called Dream Team has to be a team that really knows how to TEAM.

just grab the top notch spiders and put them in a team isnt neccessary the best team. That goes with the sharks too. I agree with Verthanthi. And its true. Grab 5 top spiders and play them against spastic spiders, i doubt they will win. Teaming is a very big factor. If really have to put a list of the dream team, all 8 members has to know each other's move very very well.

funny things to read.. everytime when these threads come.. almost the same ppl get listed because they have been good once and dont even play alot now days. How does past effect to next season? or ppl who get picked alot in go base because of friends being cap.. or have name that you will remember well.. or the ones that got into good squad that others have won games $

how come on every single skill thread, server comes on it and replies saying hes better than half the people on the lists. you'd figure after 2 years of not getting named he'd give up and realize he's not on these lists for a fucking reason. Divine doesnt have to play for 2 years straight, and he'll still thrash and bash you lil *****
