Dream Teams- Circa 3

As much as I support newbies gaining noteriety and so on I think a lot of you don't really take things into account.

If this really were a "dream team" then I'd pick people who were not only good in ?go base and elim and games that don't matter, but people who have been proven good, proven champions. Just like in real sports, there are people in SS who are good in regular games and choke in important games, and vice versa. Picking proven veterans allows you to pick proven winners. People who won't choke when it comes down to it, and people who will keep together and fight to the bitter end against all odds. I'd much rather have these type of people on my team than the "flavour of the month" newbie who's been getting good records in ?go base.

I agree that these newbies might be good and can be good, and that there's no reason why they can't rise to the next level. That said I think it takes everyone a bit of time to develop, and if you had a team of newbie "dream teamers" vs. a proven veteran team of players, I bet if it came down to it the vets would win almost all of the time.

Hellzno beat me to the punch. Except I never thought Div was that much better than other birds, just had more experience. Doesn't mean he's not a good guy, but he was a pioneer; not the best ever.

Well you're a newbie but that's another arguement. For the sake of this dream team thread, I'll say that a newbie in terms of a newbie player to put on the 'dream team' is someone who has not ever played or done anything important in an important TWL playoff match (was the reason why their team won, or had incredible scores against all odds), or similar championship match, and as such have not really shown that they can play well under pressure.

And yes people choke all the time Jeansi, you're a moron if you don't realize it. Although some people are so bad that by definition they can't choke cause playing bad is normal for them.
