yea that's that i tried to tell epi

and i agree with stab.. "good" old days were then and now is now.. AND tw has a lot more skills than back then. Many good players and so on. I like tw more and more..

i totally agree with epi, and im amazed how the players that won twlj last season were mentioned in any post.

in the old days things were too one sided, 2 sided at most. now the newbies are of an average quality way higher than we were when we were newbies, thats wy most vets with some honourable exceptions became washed up, cause the newbies today outplay them because they arent active anymore

You mongoloid - you came on this thread and immediately started saying "this person sucks" and "i'm better than this person". Although I must admit, you do have one statistic that is relatively impressive: getting kicked off of squads because of the charming personality you've shown us an example of in this thread.

As far as this thread is concerned, there is a plethora of new basing talent out there that definately has a chance to shake up TWLB this upcoming season.

As far as the "newbie vs. vet" comments for basing go (I dislike those terms) I must say I somewhat agree with the point Epi brought up. ?go base has produced a lot of talented basers. At the same time though, most of the newer talent developed in ?go base has been produced in true cookie-cutter fashion. People learn from watching others - this creates somewhat of a domino effect where each person that learns how to play a ship learns how to play it in exactly the same fashion as the person that taught him/her. I could list on my fingers how many players I've seen "grow up" in ?go base that have actually managed to evolve to a point where they stand out with a unique style in their particular ship. Before ?go base the majority of us learned to refine our techniques in pub and league basing games. From my perspective I must say that produced more original, unique players.

Don't get me wrong; players that learned to base in ?go base and refined their skills aren't completely incapable of breaking out of the metaphorical cookie-cutter mold I mentioned - I just haven't seen too many achieve that thus far. Regardless, the quality of basing games will just continue to increase as more and more well-rounded basing teams enter the scene. And that can only be a good thing.

i dont mean i should be on these lists... and these are everyone own dream team.. but.. c'mon it's dreamteam for upcoming season.. that's my point here.. and another point is that put good players there.. not players who are even worse than me

I'll say that a newbie in terms of a newbie player to put on the 'dream team' is someone who has not ever played or done anything important in an important TWL playoff match (was the reason why their team won, or had incredible scores against all odds), or similar championship match, and as such have not really shown that they can play well under pressure.

Face it, as good as Lebron James is, I'd take any number of a plethora of players if I wanted to build an one-time only NBA dream team because when it comes down to it, Lebron doesn't have experience to win.

People who have performed well under pressure in previous seasons don't need to practice 24/7. To be able to perform under pressure shows that they have the mental ability to play under pressure, and to have the 'winning spirit' to not give up. You don't lose this in a few months or even in a year. Skills are easy to attain, but it's th extra level of dedication and perserverience that makes the best players. I think you if would just take the Pallies/Diso/Spastic starting lineup minus whatever people are on most of these dreamteams they would probably win.

i cant believe server said that he is better than any pallie at any ship. I mean, i've heard some stupid remarks before, but that tops them all. server basically stated he is a better terr than mythrandir, a better shark then ryanG, a better basejav than pearl jam, a better spider than sleepy mattey blood or myself, and a better basebird than divrides. wow, he must be smokin some sort of laced joint, cause he's fuckin trippin.
