I'm obliged to abuse the thread itself instead of the points raised within it.

I don't care how good you think a player is, they're all as useless as shit on string without proper team chemistry. One player does not make all the difference, no matter how snizzle his foshwizzle is.

Exactly who was playing in all those ?go base games but the very people you all name in your teams. Did one singular player's "elite" status provide them with wins for every game? No.
All the time I spent there, I spent watching games with A-list players beating down other A-list players. The only real determining factor was the teamwork, not the pick.

So instead of blowing smoke up each others rear ends, go back to your squad forums and decide how to make a dream team using what you have, namely your own squad.

Server is partialy rite if u put myth with a shitty team he probably wont get near the attention he gets now, yes he'd still do good and win his team some games but he wouldnt be like he is now. Brookus on the other hand doesnt exactly have the best team behind him and still does fairly well, grant A-S isnt baad but it clearly isnt the best. Fact remains the better the squad ur on the better u look in that ship, for BZ does just as good as myth in terr for pallies sometimes and he isnt there #1 terr, i'd say its more likely the team behind the terr. (palies was an example)

As for froe and server on melee when he terr'd, server is rite u guys were very shitty @ basing them, even when Rand recruited me to terr and melee was "upgraded" a little more in base then it was still very hard to terr for u guys.

Server isnt a bad pilot or a newbie, but he isnt really the best in anything either. But with all due respect him playing any ship (base/jav/wb) with provoke is a hella lot harder then doin it with any # of squads where the players listed are from.

Server, if I was saying the things you said in an unbiased way, I'd do it like this:

<playername> vs Server (<insert ship>): <playername> beats the crap out of Server.

Also, about the choke thing, yes, you get the strange feeling you've already won the game, and then you stop playing good for some strange reason. Mostly the choking of nowadays is just an excuse for playing bad for some reason.

And for my daily dose of self esteem: Server, I own you in any ship (hey, I kinda start to understand why server does this, feels kinda good)

First, the thread was doomed since no one defined what a 'dream team' is...this led to discussions about vets vs. newer players...which led to discussions about cram and sharking...which led to discussions about a terrier being as good as his team...which led to posts by those left off the other's list (like me!)

Every position/ship/player is impacted by the quality of the rest of the line-up. Sharking (today) is mostly about how well you play the ship with the other shark. As far as terriers go, Sika was the best one I ever saw, but he was good only because of factors other than his skill (did I say that politically correct?).

I've seen nothing about someone caring enough to sit on bench when it's best for the squad, or donating their time and effort to the squad, or showing loyality to a squad.

So what is the point again?
