Now I don't follow the scene of duelling so much but according to what I've seen most games are quite close.

If basing takes no skill, how come the games are so uneven in TWBD?

bc when its so uneven its due to no teamwork, or it could be the guys who play basing all day long are playing vs duelers who dont take basing as serouis. What i was saying is its alot ezier to take a dueler and make him a good baser then it is to take a baser and make him a good dueler. U get a good terr, and 7 duelers, throw them together and give them 10-20 TWBD gamse practice and they'l do fairly well in TWLB, of course they wont beat the full out basers like spastic and such, maybe once but not every time. If u take 5 basers and put them togehter and let them play 10-20 TWDD or TWJD games together they will still probably finish in last or 2nd last in TWLD/LJ. Not saying it dont take skill to base bc i think it does just think its takes more to duel/jav, with the exception to terring or javing in base.

the only ship that takes skill in basing is terrier...but the rest, any good dueler could get good with a lil practice

I don't think one can misunderstand this much without doing it on purpose. IMO the hardest ship to play (in base) is the jav. It takes a lot more timing and A LOT more routine than the terr does. I think the role of the terr has changed a bit lately (but it's role is still very important). Terr sure needs skill, but not as much as the jav.

Also, about the spiders firing 3 inches away from the target. That's true, but that's also the fact that separates the excellent spiders from the decent ones. Anyone can shoot down from a cram, but only the best ones can go into lower and kill the whole team just because they knew when to go into lower.

Heh, nice post concerning our squad... except it hasn't done that for the last 20 posts.
Anyway, after TWL we'll see who the winners are, -FINAL- isn't even in TWL by now. Who knows, we might dissolve tomorrow.

See, that's why everyone is saying that basing takes less skill. "Knowing when to go into lower" isn't really a skill like aiming or dodging.
