I'd like to say I pegged mafia exactly in the tolkswagon plant mafia game like day 3, I had them all sown up and I did some key moves which allowed town to win. It was actually voth who was the one who allowed 3 townies to die while being a town bodyguard and allowing the game to be won by a 2 to 1 margin when it should have been over days earlier. 3 straight town deaths happened under voths watch and lead with me grumbling how dumb it was the whole time. I saw fis as the scum she was and was telling everyone and got ignored. They finally wised up and voted fis out lol it was incredibly frustrating to watch.

lso this last game I voted to save Rodney who was our town SHIELD and scoffed at the idea fis and exalt came up with to instead save a x shot bodyguard claim that voth had made over the town shield claim Rodney made. That move lynching Rodney was the real reason town lost not my vote on fis who already had the votes to go and was a vanilla townie. She played awful the way she was questioning and causing dissent in town for every major town role claim we had that game(besides voths who was mafia ). Even with all her nonsense I immediately switched my vote off her/fis once I saw mafia jumping on board to go after her. Unfortunately The_Paul was not online and did not respond to my pleas to on how we needed to do a revote willby. Unfortunately the votes would not have mattered either way that I made as they had the numbers. She was so crappy to me that game at that stage I said screw it knowing town was done for anyways and to made a point in our final moment to her about how she may want to trust me and others sometimes as the simple Vanilla Townie she was.

This is a new and different game obviously. I don't go into games with preconceived ideas . I let them develope as the game dictates. I suggest we all start doing that now please.

She basically volunteered information about setup without being asked ("wild ride"), a townie move, and I do not think scum would do that. We now have an idea what she meant by "wild ride" (talking about unusual roles).

Also field Every game I'm sure I found scum, and some games I'm 100% correct, while others I'm only 75% correct. Either way, I'm right the majority of the time, even though I swing and miss sometimes too. You can't hit a homerun every game, but I hit enough of them to be hitting cleanup for the all star team.

It wouldn't be the first time a townie played scummy, though. You should know. Every game you're so sure a player is scum, only for that player to be lynched and flip town. My question is why haven't you entertained the possibility that Jessup may be town playing scummy?

I have thought of the possibility, and in my opinion, anyone playing so anti-town that following their lead means a town loss is bad news bears. Jessup needs to be sorted one way or another, so the question is just when that is.

If Jessup is town, scum will never touch her on purpose, because that hurts town more. Thats one more vote that isn't town-aligned do to playstyle rather than role. Jessup will probably help lynch town all game, while distracting everyone from scum hunting. By the endgame, where it's a few town left vs scum, you'll likely see the same thing that happened last game, where jessup lynches obvious town during a misslynch & lose scenario, and that's game over.

If Jessup is scum, then obviously this is a good lynch today, and all her defenders have to explain why they defended Jessup's anti-town/scummy as hell play while not having done so for players like ixt.

If Jessup is third party, then it's best to nip that in the bud asap. WillBy mentioned that there may be alignment switches, same as in fis' game, which means no third party can ever be trusted.


Regardless, I'm not able to lynch Jessup alone. It takes 7 people to do so, which doesn't look to be happening. Ixt is the other major wagon, yet you dont seem to care to ask any of those voters any questions, nor have you defended him. Why?

Being bad or not has nothing to do with what Jessup's alignment is though.

I agree with you about gripe though. Paul on his list does look weird, and I'm usually thinking Paul is scum every game I play.

If you hit town, it's completely your own fault, because all you've done this entire time is beg for town to follow you, ask for a mass claim, and then argue about dumb shit like saying WillBy wouldn't provide fake claims or that all names must be superheroes. You never once tried to find scum this entire phase, and you still aren't. Instead, you tell everyone to 'back off or else' while literally saying it helps scum to back off too. Why would you want to help scum if you're town? Why would you say 'the fun part is none of you can do anything about it' in a warning to town as well as scum?

You slipped by basically admitting you aren't town. Either you're scum or third party, and either way, you're anti-town.

Is Jessup literally claiming to be the Bomb?

Play Advice

Bomb has the potential to be a strong (if not somewhat cheap) power role for Town, but only if it actually gets killed at Night. If the Bomb is forced to claim, the chance of it getting killed at Night plummets. This is not necessarily a bad thing if there exists some other role that can confirm the Bomb as Town, but otherwise it neutralizes the effect of the role. In the worst case, Bomb claims will be policy lynched much like Bulletproof claims, as claiming Bomb is a convenient way to explain why a player is not being killed at Night.

While this should probably go without saying, playing scummily enough to attract the attention of a Vigilante is the worst case and should be avoided at all costs. Note that games with Bombs in them probably also have Vigilantes in them."
