Violence by far right is among US’s most dangerous terrorist threats, study finds

    https://www.theguardian.com/world/20...hreat-analysis
I'm worried about you man. Quoting The Guardian as a reputable source? You sound radicalised. But let's indulge you for a minute.

According to my google research, in the past 10 years in America:

    117 killed by far right
    95 killed by islamists
    21 killed by far left
19+ killed in the BLM/antifa riots

    270 killed by lightning

Whichever way you cut it (no pun intended), terrorist attacks are not a big killer in America. The Far Right - and, for that matter, Islamists, are an incredibly marginalised force in US politics, confined to the peripheries of society - and that's a good thing! It cracked me up how Biden brought up the Proud Boys in one of the debates, who are an organisation of around 3 people. Hysterical people like you NEED the Far Right, because they're the ultimate boogie-man, and it justifies the rioting, looting, and the suffocation of free speech- in much the same way as the Neo-Cons needed radical Islamists to wage their bloody wars. But the stats speak plainly: the Far Right are not a big threat.

And that's looking at one metric: death count. If you searched a bit wider at assaults, property damage, harassment, etc - I'd guess Far Left groups far outstrip Far Right groups. Finding accurate data on this is nearly impossible, though. Harder still because most of the science is conducted by activist/partisan institutions such as "The Global Project of Hate and Extremism" and "Hope not Hate". There is a whole sub-industry within the charitable and educational sectors that produce very sketchy studies that exaggerate the threat of the Far Right, and of course get repeated verbatim in trash sources like The Guardian, to be swallowed whole by beshitted, submoronic spaniels like you. NB: did I mention how fucking bad you are at this game?

I also have to say just how historically illiterate and parochial your view of the world is. The Far Left are just as prone to violence, terrorism and genocide if you look beyond American politics in the past decade. Why aren't the Left as violent in America today? Because they don't need to be- every corporate and managerial power centre in the US points to the Left. BLM and antifa are roundly endorsed by huge corporates such as McDonalds, Nike, etc. Every single Premier League football match in the UK starts with the player's kneeling for BLM. Hollywood and the legacy media are drenched in the hyper-racialised thinking of the Left. Education departments in colleges and universities - especially in the humanities and social sciences - swing 80+% Left. If you have this kind of cultural and institutional cache, you don't need to be violent. This is the deepest irony of groups like antifa - claiming to be "oppressed" and "revolutionary" - whilst advancing the exact view of the establishment.

Trump has it too. Let's be real here. Neither candidate is actually all there mentally. They're both in their mid 70s. Also, the lying thing is pretty hilarious, considering Trump has lied more than any modern president in American history, has had more advisors than Nixon convicted of felonies, and frankly, the country is a complete mess under his leadership. How much worse could it possibly get under literally anyone else?

Besides, Trump is no longer a populist. That's his downfall. He fucked himself by being stuck inside the right wing bubble. He's going to lose badly.

According to your research? Show some proof if you actually did 'research'. That's common sense. You just made up some numbers and claimed them to be true. Also, Islamists aren't on the left. They are religious authoritarians, which is classically on the right, same as fundamentalist Christians are classically on the right. Conservatives aren't leftists. The religion doesn't matter. They all want the same thing. The only difference is the interpretation of which bullshit religious laws they want to force on the masses. Beyond that, the people they are killing aren't conservatives.

As for Antifa/Riots, did you include things like the Kenosha shooter as part of that? You haven't given a single link of anything you just mentioned, which makes me not actually believe you. I listed actual FBI warnings showing how the far right is the problem. As for being marginalized, Trump has literally endorsed the far right so much that he refuses to ever denounce them in any capacity. He knows who his voters are. Beyond that, I don't consider some dumbass kids wearing bicycle helmets and elbow pads in Antifa a credible threat. Do you? I do consider a bunch of crazy nutjobs armed to the teeth trying to assassinate presidential nominees and kidnap governors a threat though. I also consider a 500 truck caravan of rednecks from rural areas going out of their way to enter into cities like Portland, draped in Trump flags, shooting paintball guns at random people holding signs on the sidewalk as a threat. That's why one of them got killed btw. Those on the right entering cities they don't live in are a problem, and what happens? They get killed or kill others,,then get arrested like the kenosha kid. Then the crazy rightist boomers on facebook call that moron a patriot, beg Trump to let them mass murder all the other 'libtards', and donate hundreds of thousands of dollars to his defense fund. That shit is not normal.

As for the guardian being a source, do you need others? You said you used google to research. Is FBI.gov good enough for you, or will you claim the FBI is compromised too? I guess anything that doesn't agree with you is a bad source? Fox News aint it chief.

Most of all, I hate stupid people, and the right has the most of them bar none. The left has plenty too, but they at least can be tuned out. The crazies on the right will murder people, force through cultist supreme court judges, deny all help to average citizens as long as the right people (minorites) are hurt too. I don't support stupid people or stupid actions, and that's literally all the right is. The GOP doesn't even have a platform to run on anymore. How fucking lazy can an entire party of idiots get as to not even set simple goals? I used to be an Independent before Trump fucked over the country as bad as he did btw. I don't like the Dems much more than the GOP, but at this point, I will never vote for Republicans again. They are a dead party as far as I'm concerned. Trump was the catalyst that broke the camel's back, because his stupidity was apparently infectious (not just his COVID), and it revealed all the biggest idiots in America. I can excuse a lot of things, but stupidity is not one of them.

        Just my 2c. End rant.

EDIT: Another reason I strongly feel politics are just smoke & mirrors is this. Out of all the people in this country, the amazing minds we have and people who could do great works, we are stuck voting for Trump or Biden? Even when the race was going on and there were all the front runners, they were all lousy rich people who were disconnected to society. I am pretty sure your average 5th grader could run this country better yet here we are. It's all bullshit.
This is possibly the truest thing said in this thread. One caveat I have is that America isn't a Democracy. It isn't even a real Republic either. It's an Oligarchy in all but name, and it was designed as such by the founding fathers. They knew what they were doing when they wrote the constitution behind closed doors. They didn't want direct democracy, and they also didn't want direct representation of people through a Republic. It was rigged from the start. The more I've read up on American history at a deeper level than the cult of personality worship of the founders that high school teaches, the more that comes out in the open.

Thing is, does anyone have a real solution? Trump wasn't it, although I don't hate anyone for trying to go with him in 2016 to see if he was. I definitely don't give that leeway with people doing it in 2020 after he's shown who he really is, but that's neither here nor there. The fact is, how can anything really change in America? The only people who I've seen try to do is comes from the left, yet those on the right hate them for it. That doesn't make much sense to me. The People's Party is something the leftists have come up with recently, because they realized that the DNC will block any change from happening and force through people like Biden no matter what. Bernie was the sacrificial lamb so to speak to prove that point. At least the left is calling out the bullshit. Where are the 3rd parties? What do they have to say? Nothing. They're complicit too. The GOP is likely even worse than the DNC at this stage as well, so that's untouchable imo. So really, those who hate the system, why do you also hate the left? I don't mean the green haired fat walrus women screeching about feminism or something either, because those aren't actual leftists. Those are liberals. There's a difference. Leftists couldn't give a single fuck about social issues. It's all economics.

I remember I used to be a libertarian back in the 2012 Ron Paul days, but the more the wealth inequality has gotten worse, the more that it proves how dumb libertarianism is. I'd take the social freedom of libertarianism (do and say whatever you want, as long as it doesn't hurt others) with the economic regulations necessary to check the ultra-rich from fucking over everyone else. Is there a political party for that?

              • The winner will be decided by the highest bidder behind the scenes. End of story. Cant trust what anyone says anymore. Trump is a businessman at his core, and we dont know who he is benefitting from or to what extent. I highly doubt the contrary. Biden says he will move toward zero-emission society in 30 years (laughable) and called the same people he was in bed with for 8 years, "thugs." Among my list of pros for Trump is that he's blown the lid off of the politically correct and lazy voters alike. He was a wake up call and a breath of fresh air, batshit crazy or not. I for one am exhausted by the standard silver tongued politician who is, at the end of their term(s), full of shit. You know what you get with Trump. I cant believe in Biden as he has proven for 40+ years to be vice president at best, not commander in chief. Personally, I do not think Trump has done irreparable, harmful damage to the country's infrastructure.

Exalt hammered the nail; there is too much we do not know about behind closed doors. But, the media sensationalizes everything and reports hardly anything useful. What can you do?

Prediction: Trump will lose the popular vote by several million bleeding heart votes, but win the presidency via electoral.

The next best thing we can do is treat one another with respect and pray for this country. Greed rampages through the halls of politicians, and one day it will have its day as the bill past due upon the altar of 'freedom.'

                God bless everyone.

I don't disagree with a lot of what you said, but I do need to ask for clarification on this. I keep hearing that Trump is so refreshing because he tells it like it is and isn't full of shit. But how is that true? If you go back and look at his campaign promises when he was running in 2016, which of these did he successfully accomplish? Is the distinction between Biden and Trump that Trump isn't silver tongued? Because if the bar is not being full of shit, I can't find any shred of hard evidence that proves that to be true. If we're being honest, there is actually overwhelming evidence to the contrary.

In essence, what these people are saying is 'he says the racist things we believe but can't say'. He also called politicians corrupt, which was true. They pretty much just ignore the lies and focus solely on the things they agree with and claim it's telling it like it is.

If I just throw shit at a wall to see what sticks, and people say I am a genius after ignoring all the crap on the floor and only looking at the things that are still on the wall, then sure, I'm a genius. If everything Trump says is ignored except the things someone agrees with, then it really does look like he says it like it is. Cognitive dissonance is weird like that.

                    • I actually read something recently that made a lot of sense to me. It basically said that the vast majority of Republican voters are not ideological Republicans. They're ideological Jim Crow Democrats (Dixiecrat). Trump is the first candidate to run on the Jim Crow Democratic platform in many, many decades and that's why they love him. He promised to protect all of their entitlement programs while also being extremely racist against minorities. He's essentially a pure Dixiecrat.

In fairness, that is a large sack of bleeding heart bullshit right there. Has Trump said questionable things about race and race relations on multiple occasions? Sure he has. I don't know that it's from a deep down feeling of racism on his part or not - what I do suspect is that the overwhelming majority of people who see Trump as a "breath of fresh air" are referring to the fact that they aren't seeing and hearing the same speeches written by the same speechwriters of dueling parties being delivered by someone so utterly "Presidential." Sometimes Trump's tendency (and frankly, ability) to go off script and ignore the teleprompter makes people feel like they are actually connecting with someone for a change. Not a talking head, not a bullshitting politician. That gets him into trouble a lot too because when the cameras are rolling, they will pick up everything, but generally I think that most Trump supporters do feel like they are seeing someone who could make them chuckle when they have a beer at the bar with them, not just a "comforting" or "presidential" person delivering a speech written by someone else.

Got it, and this actually makes sense to me. I don't think the meat of his speeches are any different in terms of substance (read: its all mostly horseshit), but the delivery is certainly a lot different. If this is what Bluff meant by his statement then this makes a lot of sense.

I don't know man. If Trump is the kind of person they'd want to have a beer with, then they're all a bunch of losers with shit friends. I don't care about not being PC, but some of the shit Trump says is absolutely racist as fuck. Even beyond that, other shit he says or does is absolutely fucked up for a president to say, basically endorsing violence and even murder. 'Stand by and Stand back' to the Proud Boys?. Sharing clips of Trump supporters attacking people? Sharing clips of Trump supporters saying "the only good democrat is a dead democrat"?

                            https://www.cbsnews.com/news/preside...dead-democrat/
