I don't understand why people are saying non-Americans shouldn't be able to discuss the U.S. election. Do they really think that this doesn't concern the rest of us? Or is it because they don't follow what happens in elections outside their own nation. A lot of people here addressing concerns about Bush are Canadian, for example, and this election will have strong repercussions for us up here. As long as the points they bring up are valid they shouldn't be dismissed just because they come from non-Americans. If you truly believe that you don't need to hear the opinions of people outside America, than you have to also ask yourself why many of those same people don't like when America does things that affect their nations.
Discuss the election all you want, but the majority of the "political views" expressed here are just dressed up "America sucks" comments. I've seen enough of those on these forums to last me 5 lifetimes. You said it yourself: as long as the points they bring up are valid they shouldn't be dismissed just because they come from non-Americans. But when it comes to this forum, after 3+ years, I haven't seen too many that ARE valid.
Also, this has to be about the 847th thread on this forum that quickly degenerates into "Americans vs. The Rest Of The World". I think this is it, though. I think this is the thread where everyone reaches a compromise and comes to some kind of mutual understanding.
.....ahahah
edit: I just learned from reading this thread that Froedrick is in Pallies.
PLEASE, DON'T BE MISGUIDED...YA BITIN'. AND I'MA HAVE TA DIS YA, UNDERSTAND MISTA?

Pj i far from hate the us. I just don't see why people would vote for bush. I have so many real life friends there it's insane. And It's so fucking beautiful there. I get so involved because, not only do I care about ongoings in the world. I don't want such an awesome place to become shit. Peoples opinions of the US since Bush' term has become so low (internationally) people assume that all americans are like bush. It's not true i mean there were 50 million voted for Al Gore. I just don't want to see another great country lead by someone who makes the people look bad, when it's completely not true.

This wasn't about swaying opinions of Bush supporters or Kerry supporters, this was about swaying the undecided votes that determine elections.
How many undecided voters watch debates? I think everyone that pays attention and cares and will actually go out and vote has already decided.
Conc... nobody's taken you up on that yet. Maybe Bush hasn't actually done anything good.
Whoever said kerry won't do anything different to get us out of iraq... you're probably somewhat right BUT we KNOW that bush isn't gonna be able to do it. he ignored warnings and threw out the plans and declared mission accomplished in his little flight suit costume while alienating the rest of the world. The only real way to get us out of there is to bring in help from other countries, maybe Kerry can and maybe he can't, but like I said, we KNOW bush can't.
A LOT. There's a reason the two candidates are hitting certain states and there's a reason they go on television, it's because of the number of undecided people in them that are able to be swayed thus making the state "undecided."

You say this, yet ure not around to experience what you call "the country going to shit." What you don't understand is that no matter who the president is, we are still gonna be the bullies of the world. This week it's Iraq, last week it was Kosovo. We are constantly at war with someone, and though i hate war, it will always be that way. It's the Roman Effect. You become the largest country in the world, so you get cocky and feel that everyone should be just like you. You then figure the only way to do it is with force. Rome was good at it, and America is good at it now.
