I've never told him that the monitor on/off button does not turn off the whole computer...I'll let him have his fun :P

Yeah, we are pretty much the first generation that has grown up with electronic devices. I doubt that another revolution like it will come up for another 100 years or so.

Ok so our kids will probably laugh at us too when we are older, but I think most of us (at least the people geek enough to play subspace) will be able to use the technology we'll live to see.

I think when they start implanting shit into people, that's the tech train that I'm not going to get on.

My mom has always been very fast learning. I can't remember the last time she has needed help with her laptop. She even took come classes so she know some things better than the men in the family.

My father used to disconnect my network wire from the router if I was playing or chatting too much. He needed me to cut the grass or something. I moved out as soon as I could though.

My Mum's fine with tech stuff, it's my Dad who's crap.

Someone said that their Mum types the address into the google bar and then clicks the link, that's exactly what my Dad does. Instead of adding to favourites, he'll always do File -> Save As. And for some reason, whenever I go on after him the favourites sidebar is open.

Someone above said their Dad couldn't use XP but could use 95, why not just change it to look like Windows 95? That's what I've done, I can't stand the layout of the new start menu or the teletubbies graphics.

Hmm....dude, thanks. I'll give that a shot next time I go to his house. He's still not going to know what the hell I'm talking about when I ask him to open his web browser, but maybe that might help him struggle through it more easily.

My brother does that. It is very annoying. Sometimes when he is on, I ask him to go to gmail for me and he does that. I keep telling him to put it in the bar, but he doesn't. (He's only a year younger than I am). Me thinks that he looks at naughty stuff on the computer and he puts it in the google search engine so that the bar doesn't show the sites that he's been to :P.

I do that too, saves me the trouble of removing the things I actually want to keep in the search bar.
