We do have traps. But what are we supposed to do with the animals caught in the traps? Let them go again, just to come back and destroy our crops again?

No, you let them die. Like what you would do with guns, but without them.

It's much more humane to just put them out of their misery than to let them die slowly in a trap.

Oh, and guns aren't the worst invention ever. I think land mines are far worse.

Humanity is not the issue under debate, Guns were. Killing an animal because they do what they were born to do is far more inhumane than anything previously talked about.

And we only have so many traps, we really don't have the time to wait until the animal inside of it dies in order to use the traps again. And my dogs go crazy whenever there is an animal inside the trap; whenever they go outside in the morning they sniff the air and if theres an animal in them they immediately start running. If we sat there and waited until they died, my dogs wouldn't be allowed to go outside all day because, with groundhogs especially, they will get tired of my dogs pestering them, and reach through the bars and scratch them.
