(Here's a theory for you all, it's more outlandish if anything, but here's going out on a limb.)

Here's food for thought. Where do you suppose all of these Americans came from? In case neither of you know your history, people from all around the world came to the USA. (The USA is also known as the Melting Pot, in case neither of you knew that as well.) The US has (ivy league) universities, high schools, middle schools, etc (just like other countries do); so wouldn't one assume that since everyone in the US can have a free education (till we graduate from HS) suggest some form of intel.? Since it is free and all, you'd think people would take advantage of it. So if it isn't education, what is it? Genetics are hereditary, no? Since they are, it must be that these Americans got the "stupid" gene from their ancestors. Where have the USA's ancestors come from? You guessed it! From Europe, Asia, and Africa. (So you all have only yourselves to blame!)

Now, I don't believe in that "theory," it's all an outlandish statement and there's no real thought put behind it. Just thought I'd throw some bullshit out there like everyone else does in every other country out there.

Part of me wonders/ponders as to why Americans are hated so. I often at times wonder if it's jealousy, because of how we live and so forth. America is the richest country in the world, right?? If it isn't jealousy, then what? What have I done, as an American citizen, to deserve this hatered? It's not like I go over to your guys' country to put you all down, gloat that I'm an American, make an ass out of myself. I don't even do that here in the States. Sure, our government has made some mistakes, but haven't we all? It's not like I asked Bush to send us to war against Iraq or to get involved in other parts of the world, poking our noses in some places we shouldn't be (other places I do believe we should be in). (I voted against Bush actually.) So what the hell is it?

You know, IMHO, this hatered for Americans is just as low as any other racism out there in the world. It's sad and pathetic, just like any other hatered out there.

FYI: I'm an American, Australian, and Spanish citizen. (Yes, I have citizenship in all three countries, so don't go generalizing things about me.) This American also has an IQ of 130 and currently attends the University of Nevada Reno (note: dumb people don't go to college; got to have the smarts to get in, no?). So this is one American that ISN'T an idiot. So to those that think all Americans are idiots, please don't think that.

This does not apply to all Americans and is expressed constitutively towards people and mostly different levels of Government. but whenever the subject comes up there's one or two of those patriotic types who say things like "you dont live here stfu" ect.. The United States affairs concern me, some guy in Afghanistan, Iraq, Africa, Europe.. almost everywhere as they do Americans.

Just to fill in some of the numbers: the Canadian dollar closed off at the end of the 80s at 0.8632 USD. It's now at 0.8356 but reached an all-time low of 0.6522 in 1998, the same year the phasing out of the original Can-US FTA was completed.

Maybe in the beginning it was only people with a sense of "patriotism". This subject (if you can all it that) is just sooooo old and filled with ignorance (not supidity, ignorance, meaning the lack of information) that now not just Americans are saying stfu already. It's old, it was old when this thread first started, and it's only gotten older. Give it up, unless you have actual information and something new to say (which I doubt anyone reading this has).
