I don't know about failing all the time... but such things as the twin paradox I've never had explained. The rest of it... makes some sense, but then I've only studied special relativity, I know nothing about the gravity/relativity stuff.
But you're right, the laws of science are never exact and exceptions occur to most of them. And everything is so complex. But they are still useful within context (its not true that a lever works through the power of faith rather than physical equilibrium, or that God's hand works a Hydraulic pump)

Decided to share what I walk past every day:

Also found out that one of the guys in our office was on the top deck of the bus that blew up. The people sitting both in front and behind him were blown away but for some reason he remained sitting there, and escaped wiht cuts and bruises but he's still in hospital, heavily traumatised. A card was passed round for him yesterday.

We were chatting today over an extended lunch break in some cafe that these bombers weren't the brightest ever. They intended to do maximum damage, yet put their bomb on the top of the bus or detonated their bomb on the train before it got to Liverpool Street - Liverpool Street being one of the busiest train stations in the world. They also all had their passports and credit cards on them which was how they were identified, which suggests they planned to flee somewhere afterwards. So how were they going to kill everyone around them but not themselves and then fly off, and why were they using their own passports? Smells a bit fishy to me
