I once couldnt find my key for like 3 hours, I missed 3 classes just looking for them. it turns out they were wrapped up in my towel in the dirty laundry, I dont know why though.

get one of those strap things for your keys, it helps being able to find them becasue you just have to look for the giant strap which is easier to spot.

my guess is that you opened the door, and never took the keys out of it, and you went in, and you closed the door, and now you have forgot it, and now when i have told you about it, you remember it again..

UPDATE:

They mysteriously turned up hanging on the key hooks by the front door. No one in my family can remember finding them and/or putting them there. It is a mystery!
