I'dd rather think the countries who have the best rested players will get far. All the top players need rest, wich they won't have this summer. So by saying that, idd say it will be a surprising tourney. All the "weak" teams play tacticly (like fucking italy does) by defending, defending, defending. That's hard to pin thrue for every "better" team.

Holland is not going to win it. Van Basten plays all the young unexperianced ajax players, so basicly ajax is playing for Holland. And that's not good. SUUUUURE.... the young players have quality, haha. Plus, Holland has a dangerous group. And argentinie in the last game... ouch.

As for England, they always choke. I don't see them coming very far. When those brits get off their isolated island they always act weird. It see them getting banned (due their supporters) way quicker than making the final.

If i remember correctly (tell me if not) ALL the finals has had either germany or brasil in it. And every time germany is supposed not to be good. IMO, germany and brasil are higly rated to win.

Our fans are no way near the worst, they just get publicised more. althougth imo we are one of the best sets of fans, wen we played portugal in portugal last euro we out numberd the home fans about 3-1, maybe more

Imo Brazil, Portugal and Holland deserve to win the next WC. However it's almost unlikely that the best >>playing<< team will win a major tournament. That's how you get Greece winning the EC and Liverpool winning the EC. Too bad Brazil and Portugal will already have to meet in the quarters.

the english have argubly one of the best leagues in the world; alongside the Italians and Spanish, and we got our players all playing here. I could name at least 3 World Class players from England, easily; doubt you could do the same with Holland or Portugal for that matter. also lets not forget the fact that your coach only plays all the youngsters, and you don't really have a well balanced team, or at least you have not had a team that has even had a few stages to gelling together to perform well together yet.

And Portual in your favourites? are you mad? christiano Ronaldo is good; but he's not good enough to carry portugal

and i named a few favourites; Brazil are still hot favourites imo; they got 2 players to cover in every position

also; liverpool had the magic to win the champions league; and it takes something like that to win a tournament like that, which is also like World Cup.

Why is Beckham in Spain then? You have all these hotshot players, yet you people never seem to accomplish anything.. could it be because they are all egocentric and that it's not a team?

We do have a balanced out team: V.d. Sar, Opdam, Cocu, Nistelrooij, combined with very talented youngsters. Besides that, we have like 20 people that could start for the netherlands, wich means we have more then just 6 good players that has to carry the rest of the team.

Actually Netherlands does have a good team, it's quite balanced between youngsters and expierence if v. Basten puts the right people in. We do have a good shot at going a long way.

England has good players, but not a team. Brazil could even win with mediocore offense players, mediocore midfield and mediocore defense if Ronaldinho is in and is playing at 100%.

Germany has been crap for 2 years now. And Poule C is tougher then E, Usa isn't that good at all. They might upset tho. But Serbia is good, certainly a team you have to watch out for. And Cote d'Ivoire is not to be messed with. Seriously if you don't watch out against them, they'll take the win. Argentina is kinda weird really as a team, they can just as easily suck hardcore as play really really good. I mean the team ain't that different from 4 years ago.

I don't consider Portugal to be that good really.. maybe an outsider but nothing more.

there are alot of teams that could win it but some would need to be on better form and have a little more luck so there is less chance of them winning.

The favourites and rightly so will be Brazil but alot of other teams could win, who would have predicted Greece winning the European Cup with all the big name favourites failing too ?
