The crux of it is: Animals have nervous systems. Plants have none, or if they do, very basic ones. It is difficult to imagine a plant in pain.
Plus, we as humans are part of the animal kingdom. Some people don't like eating animals because they anthropomorphise animals, some because they see animal flesh and imagine human flesh and are disgusted by it.(This applies to those who are into bestiality,... but in completely different ways)

Also some are unable to eat meat due to medical reasons, but they are few.

Are they going to heaven Sirius or Nirvana for the matter?
You know what they say about having flowers in a bedroom... i don't believe it though.
They must be. Otherwise heaven would be without flowers, and then it wouldn't be heaven

Well the fact that humans lack the enzymes to digest starch is enough proof for me that we are ment to eat flesh and i must say i enjoy it immensely !

I think im going to go kick my dog and eat some beef right out of the fridge now.

          Go beef, fuck rabbit-food

            You call this cruel?

Ever seen a group of hyenas eat a gnu's balls before killing him?

It's nature, it's life, blame God.

And who are you to talk about hypocrisy?!? someone who doesn't even do the minimal effort in reducing the huge barbarity that has become the animal industry shouldn't be talking about hipocrisy in the first place.
You say that plants don't squeal... maybe it's because they don't feel things the same way as a cow or a chicken feel... last time i checked animals use a brain and plants don't... "no don't bring the argument that plants can also feel their surroundings... everyone knows that but they still don't feel it the same way as an animal."
So it all goes down to the way animals are treated, but no. Besides that there is also the health factor, animal meat is becoming less healthy with passing time, all due to the growing supplements they place in animal beverage and food... some even speculate genetic alterations "lol @ wingless KFC chickens wich i don't believe they exist".
There are always several options, you could buy some healtheir and more environment friendly food that has not been grown up with the aid of synthetical products and hormones and where chickens are raised in more "civilised and painless" conditions, the same thing applies to biological agriculture.
So next time please don't talk about hipocrisy and instead try to do somethig about what you eat, chickens will thank you for that and i think you might even become more healthy in body AND mind...

How about worrying about public beheadings that still take place in places like saudi arabia, and the mistreatment of women in the middle east. Vegetarians cause the deaths of millions of animals every year through harvesting equipment, killing small rodents. Yet these animals, are left to rot instead of being used to sustain, thousands of people. Don't start with moral judgement when they (unintentionally or not) do the same thing.

I wont bother trying to counter your logic... it surpasses me in every single way. I mean beheading people and vegetarians sure have a lot in common... now if it was electrifyeing people to death and vegetarians... that would make much more sense... NO? or maybe aliens and vegetarians... CLOSE?

Blame God? Last time i heard he was dead... died around the 1880's so i guess you should find someone else to blame...

I don't see how living in a factory is worse than having your balls chewed off... but sure..

You would have to have balls to understand, really. Could be nearly as bad as being burnt alive eh!

So if we kill and eat an animal, without it feeling any pain, its ok, and you would eat some too then?
