The Wii will likely use a similar system to the DS. There are two main reasons: first, it's something they've already set up. All they need to do is adapt it. Secondly, Nintendo has a history of having their console and handheld systems connecting with each other, and the Nintendo WiFi network is a natural route. It may have a traditional wired access port, but given the philosophy behind the rest of the Wii's design, I wouldn't be surprised if it has wireless access.

I may be wrong but you sound like you've fallen for the misconception that the USB adaptor is the only way for the DS to go online. It isn't; that's just for people who don't have a wireless router. The DS can connect to wireless routers without the adaptor.

Yes, Wii uses Wi(f)i, it can't not use it, otherwise there is no way do use a DS with it.
Wii does not contain internal storage, if you're planning on downloading content, you need an SD card, if you plan on playing that content on your DS you need SD to GBA.

Plain and simple, the Xbox is ALREADY penetrating the market. Every day that Sony doesn't have something in the stores, Microsoft is getting a stronger following. The fact is that Microsoft has positioned itself in the console industry, and it isn't going away any time soon.

First off, I never said DVD would never be replaced, I just said I wasn't sure it was going to be by either Blu-Ray or HD-DVD. Look it up for yourself--never did I say DVD was the end-all. (I think LB pointed this out, but hell if you ever actually READ anything.)

Second, what exactly are you trying to prove? That Microsoft will have to pull out of consoles by the end of this next generation? Okay, I'll bite. I'd wager pretty much any amount of money that they won't. Why? They have developer support. It's frickin Microsoft. They have a little more than two pennies to rub together. Unless each Xbox 360 has a nasty habit of exploding in a fiery ball of death or they discover one eating a Jewish baby, there's going to be no "mass rejection" of the platform. I'm sorry you're so very afflicted by Sony Blindness, but marching up and down the street in your Solid Snake costume screaming "DOWN WITH MICROSOFT!" isn't going to change the way the world works.

As far as the games you mentioned--well, that's all subjective now, isn't it? I personally think the FF series is boring as all hell, Metal Gear Solid games eventually have made it to other platforms in some incarnation or another, Tekken games are (again) boring as hell to me. God of War and Devil May Cry were pretty good, gameplay-wise, but if you're trying to invalidate the Xbox with that list of games, you've got to do better.

Hmm maybe I missed it, they didn't have Jam With the Band? Guess they haven't gotten it localized/haven't touched it yet. A real fucking shame if this is the case, that game is probably the best on the DS so far. Maybe Mario 64 and Pheonix Wright almost tie it, but there's nothing I play more than Daigasso.

Fuck, I'm probably not buying a "nextgen" for another four to five years, I mean I bought a PS2 last year. After a couple of years you have a good idea of what games there are so you know which console to buy, and hopefully the price has dropped a lot. But that wasn't really the case with PS2, it is still fucking expensive.

Fuck it, I'll just probably buy whatever console Nippon Ichi makes games for, which will most likely be PS3. I'm sold on them. Metal Gear Solid 4 however can blow me, it has just gotten worse since MGS which was good. What the fuck was upp with MGS2 and 3? You get to play for two minutes and then you have to watch a movie, two minutes and then a movie, AH-hah you thought you could play for two whole minutes this time, eh? ONE minute and then a ten minute movie. Ad nauseam.

Halo 3? Are you fucking kidding me? FPS' for consoles should be banned. Not to mention that Halo one wasn't that great of a game to start with. Perhaps if they make a Ninja Gaiden 2 Xbox360 will become interesting.

Wii seems kind of fun. It's nice that Nintendo has the balls to do innovative things and I'm sure it will be a hit with people that aren't really hardcore gamers. As Troll King said it will target a different audience than the PS3 and Xbox360.
