Hahha, just saw this. Perhaps the 9/11 movie is being funded by the Bush administration.

      Fuking Canadians and Europeans

I have to add my 2 cents to this shit, I totally agree with Izor. All you Canadians and Europeans who know shit about what happened need to stfu. I had family in New York and know people who work in the city. Now this may be a little early, but I feel the movie deserves to be aired, and it was created the way it should have been. The director actually worked with family members of people from the plane crash, and had full support of the victim families. They actually were up in tears during the preview, but still managed to watch the movie. They even had the air traffic controller play his own part in the movie. I dont feel movie companies should profit on this, but they made a great movie depecting what happened.

This is something we as Americans had to live through, anf its a great reminder of what we need to learn from. All you Canadians need to stfu, and deal with your own shit. Now everyone may not be able to see the movie, but all the reviewers even ppl from the city have all raved about the movie. I feel the only opinions we should care about are the victim families, and people from the city who had to live through those terrible events directly.

I'm not going to see it mostly because I hate overly-dramatized movies but it's good to hear they at least did it well.

I don't see why the anti-Canadian or anti-European criticism is coming in here; only Capital Knockers, has said something that can be construed as being anti-American. The others commented on how it's too soon to be capitalizing on the tragedy, comments that recognize how much it has scarred many Americans. How does that lead to people saying "you can't criticize because you can't imagine the pain we felt"? The immensity of that pain is why a lot of people think this movie is in poor taste. Don't confuse criticism of the movie with a lack of sympathy for what happened. Most of the criticism is coming because of the sympathy.

Seeing as the movie is showing in other countries besides America, I think that alone is enough to give people the right to comment on the film.

On AndE last night I saw a trailer for either this movie or a rip-off of it. It wasn't a long trailer but the part that hit me is when I saw some woman telling someone on the phone that she's not coming home (she's choked up/about to cry).

I know to alot of people outside America this might not matter or even seem like a big deal, but I agree with Izor, Gen and JT and others- it's fucked up to make a movie about this right now. I don't care if it's been 5 years, it's still too soon in my opinion.

Nobody is forcing you to go see it, if all off you think it's to early, let it know and don't go watch it, If they do get alot of spectaters, proves them right. I think it's bs to say something can't be done because it hasn't been long enough ago.

Pim Fortuyn was murdered here, 5 years ago.. HUGE deal, there was a book and movie within 3 years.
Lots of people care, and it's quite ignorant of you to post that type of response. I know you don't usually go out of you way to get reaction replies so I'm just going to chalk that type of insensitivity to not going through a situation like that in your country. This wasn't a death of a popular racist political person, this was an event that claimed hundreds of lives and disrupted hundreds of families. I live in Virginia and there were kids at my school that walked to/out of the offices crying that day because they lost their father, mother or sister in the WTC.

Alot of people had their loved ones ripped away from them on that day, whether said loved ones were on one of the planes, or in the WTC- the point is that this isn't the type of situation where old wounds and bad memories will heal quickly. Some might want the story to be told but I don't believe that it's in good taste to try and re-enact what happened. I didn't lose a loved one that day but if I did I sure wouldn't be able to just brush it off and be cool with a "movie and book deal in 3 years ".
My father in law was telling me over Thanksgiving about this amazing bartender at some bar he frequented who could shake a martini and fill it to the rim with no leftovers and he thought it was the coolest thing he'd ever seen. I then proceeded to his home bar and made four martinis in one shaker with unfamiliar glassware and a non standard shaker and did the same thing. From that moment forward I knew he had no compunction about my cock ever being in his daughter's mouth.

Canadians should just be banned from posting about what happens to america though, since they live in our shadow and we have to protect them from everything.
We're all human and we're all in this together. Many Canadians died on 9/11 along with Americans and other foreign nationals. Overall this attack was not on American but the ideals it stands for: Democracy, freedom and the freedom of all humans which Canada (the other major allies) believe in. The attack was also in response to American's negitive influence in this world that results when those ideals are twisted and perverted. If anything this attack on American soil should have brought us together to face the "evils" of this world but the US took a different direction.

I think it's too soon to dramatize this tragic event.

United 93, a movie about what happened on United Airline Flight 93 on 9/11.

isn't it a tard bit early to make a movie about 9/11 already? IMO, 9/11 is one of those incident that Hollywood should stay the hell away from. Documentaries are fine, but movies are a big no no. Cause this will just be another one of those 'American Hero' movies. "We are american, we are heroes. we will save the day!" Last thing 9/11 and the victims of it need was some actors/director who know jackshit about what actually happened dramatize the event.

Also, how can it be based on a true event when no one really knows what happened on that plane? Blackbox recorded conversations in the cockpit, but it did not record the series of actions that happened. Pretty fuked up if you'd call this movie based on true story
I don't think you get it. The movie is based on the tragic event of United 93. That means that the plot developed in the movie is based on the events of United 93. Seeing that it isn't a documentary, which would require concrete evidence and events that occurred, this is a movie BASED ON United 93, which leaves quite a bit of wiggle room.

Also, you're a Canadian. Go fuck yourself and stop sucking on USA's nipple.

Canada, a major ally of the USA? Oh, of course, then why don't our great "allies" help us a little bit more with the conflict we're involved in?

Get the fuck out of our shadow, without the USA you would actually have to build a military which could defend the country.

How is that propaganda? Canadians and other forgieners died on 9/11. I didn't say that to feel important but because I do not see this as a country issue, people died, I feel bad for them and I want the people who killed them brought to justice. I also don't want the presuit of those people to override the ideals and laws our two countries are founded on because if there's one constant in politics it is that whenever you give a little to any Govt. body, they'll go for more.

It was an attack on the American government and people. You're forgetting that this attack was in conjunction with two other much more serious attacks on America. If it was an attack on America's ideals, why did the terrorists not attack any other countries considering that many other countries have the same or similar ideals as America.

And yes, I do have to word it like that, because you were always a person I respected for your helpfulness and down to earth attitude, but you have this all wrong.

If they hated you, they'd attack you. Instead they dont go beheading CANADIAN civilians and flying planes into CANADIAN buildings. These attacks were in no way aimed at foreigners or Canada and you know it, get over yourself you fucking idiot.

America is the focal point for a lot of problems in the middle east before and after 9/11, the terrorist see those values and ideals to be the cause of such problems. That's why. The two towers were the focal point of international trade, so there were two motives behind the attack. Other countires have been attacked by Al-Qaeda before this. You're not showing me much respect at all, I don't really care if you do or you don't but if you're gonna try I would rather see it in action, not word.
