I know exactly how that day went, I came home from school, dropped my bag turned on the tv and started zapping around, I came past CNN, saw one of the towers explode, zapped on, thought.. wait, what was that? Zapped back, saw another plane crash into the other tower (I turned on the tv right after the first plane and I actually saw the second one crashing in their live). Nobody knew what actually happened at first, accidents? Speculations, it took a while before they actually started thinking about a terrorist attack. I called my mom, who was at work and I said: Omg, 2 planes just flew into the WTC in New York. And my mom said, why? what happened, and I was like they don't know yet. They are thinking some accident, or maybe a terrorist attack.
And I am dutch, so don't tell me it was just another headline in our news. And just because they attacked and the WTC and the Pentagon (and planning on one more). Doesn't mean it was an attack solely against America, it means they were smart. WTC is one of the busiest sites in New York, certainly internationally considerd. And taking out the pentagon would severely weaken America and it's power to react to the situation, process info on what happened etc. And what the pentagon widely stands for. So it doesn't prove they were just after America.
My point, that it wasn't just about America on the other hand gets proven by the attacks in London last year, which was again really smart. The subway in London and a bus during rush hour? Best way to completely paralyze London in a blow. I still think this wasn't so much just an attack on America, but more an attack on America and (notice the AND Izor) the western world. And I am sure other attacks (France? Germany? Maybe even Canada?) will follow in the coming years, or atleast attempts. I think they were really smart waiting a couple of years before attacking London.
