I don't speak for the rest of the world, but I think a lot of people are angry at Americans for buying into the propaganda about the war on terrorism and every other major issue. I also feel America as a country has come across as very hypocritical in the past few years. A country that not only claims, but preaches how they are the greatest bastion of freedom on Earth and they allow their government to revoke basic rights and freedoms from suspects, refuses to allow stem cell research, is considering a possible outlawing of lectures and rallies that voice extremist Muslim views etc... To me it all comes across as a 21st century crusade; a war supposedly based on moral and religious "right", which is really about gaining power and wealth from the conquering of another people.

Conversely, ignorant non-Americans buy into their own countries' propaganda about hating America. They overstate facts and make generalizations about America to gloss over their own countries' a) shortcomings or b) bitch status. You can hate me for it but I only preach what I see.
