Horrible as usual. He managed to not address any serious issue while still sounding like an assclown.

AIDS treatment overseas is pretty neat and all, but it turns out that millions of Americans still have no basic healthcare, no stable employment, and poorly educated children. Don't get me wrong, those ******s need all the help they can get and it's very noble of Monkey Face to offer them aide, but as the American president -- he should learn to prioritize.

I don't think he did a half bad job. He addressed almost all of the things that needed to be addressed (economy, saddam, community shit etc). He even got some Democrats standing on some of his tax talk, which personally I dont' think is right seeing as all that money he is going to be spending on hydrogen cars, bio defence, and aids crap.

W/E... he didn't make up TOO many words this time.... Is Hitlerism a word? I know he used that one :P

He ADDRESSED them but he didn't say anything new about them. He generalized and gave umbrella answers that are hard to object to. Nothing new here.

No dude, none of that money is going to go there. He flashed dollar amounts, but that doesn't mean shit. Republicans sponsoring alternative energy research? What are you nuts?

Yea, gotta love the "Upside Down Economics" trickle down theory. See if you give people who live off stock profits and dividends massive tax cuts, then the economy is going to improve...despite the fact that unemployment is up, consumer spending is down, and investing confidence is shakey.

Yeah, fuck giving our own population basic health care and education. Their needs are far less important than the exact same needs of other people suffering around the world. Non-Americans give us shit all the time for getting in your business, donating stuff to your collective poor, and feeding the hungry. Yet when Americans ask for our own citizens to be given these basic necessities that we are striving to provide for our allies AND our enemies, we are selfish.

Well Bush proved what I already knew, he is f***ing moron and a hypocrite. He isn't gonna do half the shit he says he is gonna do. Watch what he does, not what he says folks, he's a bonehead.

This is pretty much a retarded thing to say.
Music and medicine, I'm living in a place where they overlap.

                          jank-e-doodles

                          1) This really should go into General. Yes, I felt the need to say what others already have.

                          2) None of us are qualified to judge. I say this even WITH a political science and an economics degree.

                          3) I think we're all biased against Bush as it is, which only further proves point #2. I do believe we have good reason to be, though.

                          4) Even though I may not be qualified to comment, I'm still going to. In his typical manner, Bush managed to talk a lot and say very little. Only the unquestioning masses of media-sheep were impressed. Though I must admit, from a public-speaking standpoint, this was one of his better presentations.
Unless this thread ISN'T about subspace, nobody has any right to quote a great philosopher.

you're providing basic necessities to canada, england, etc? gee! thanks!

thats not to say i don't see the point of providing for your own citizens, but think for a moment of people who live in say, somalia, where not only do they not have health care, you'd be hard pressed to even find a doctor let alone a school, or food for that matter. or water. quite frankly i don't think the citizens of most rich nations, any "1st world" nations, have any clue how impoverished 90% of the world is. i may not be rich by canadian standards but i am fucking loaded compared to 90% of the world.
