    Arcanoid :fear:

Edit: took me a while to find out the name, Gyruss...that one was a hoot. Till you finished it... a space shooter where you move your ship in circles and shoot into the screen

Games aren't as hard as they used to be, there used to have to be a reason to play video games, a challenge factor something to suck you in and want to beat the game really bad because its so hard, but it gnawed on you until you sat there for 30 hours and beat it. (Rad Racer anyone?)

Now instead of a challenge they just give you pretty looking graphics.. I mean I know this is going to sound terrible but I have seen graphics on the xbox 360 and ps3 that look better than real life, especially the final fantasy style animation. If anyone has seen the FF7 movie you know what im talking about, it makes real life look dull and boring.

Yeah, I remember Rodents Revenge. Last time I played it was when I was in the army, around 6 months ago. My "personal" old ass computer from since about the last war had it, along with another classic: Alley cat

            no one said minesweeper!

i forgot about some of my old gameboy games too, from back when gameboy was monochromatic. for instance:

            zelda: link's awakening (awesome!!!!!!)
donkey kong kountry 1 and 2
battletoads (which i swear to god is impossible to beat)

i also had nba jam for my gameboy but the sega version was wayyyyy better. i think nba jam is probably my all-time favorite basketball game.

            for dreamcast: mdk and mdk2

                    ohhhhhhhhh man!!!

does anyone remember a game for macs where you were this stick or rod, whatever you wanna call it, and you rotated 360 degrees around a single tile and you could connect to other tiles by hitting a key at the right time. and there were tons of obstacles on each level that got more and more tricky as you progressed? i think you could also make yourself switch rotation directions.

basically you had to move your stick from one part of the map, through the obstacles and to a "finish line."

i hope someone knows what i'm talking about. i'll go out and buy an old mac just to play that again!

                    • Omg Sim Tower.. I loved that game. I remember when there'd be a bomb threat and you'd need to choose whether to ignore it or take it seriously.
I really wish that there was a newer version of Sim Tower. I'd buy it in a heartbeat

Sim Ant and Sim Safari were also fun too
