Yes but took months for some of em. Adventure games are only fun if you let yourself be totally fucked by em occasionally!

I'm pretty sure the most intelligent person in the world wouldn't be able to figure it out. You know how many "objects" you need to discovery? And even if you someone got all those objects, you need to trade half the stuff. AND ON TOP ON THAT, you need "perfect timing for some of the riddles.....


my gosh this one level you had to throw a bag of peas at the feet of this half Man/half Bull that was running at you inside some castle. My brother and I had the cheat, and it still took us a good couple of hours to do.......even if you did happen to "use your wits" to throw the peas, what are the chances you would do it perfectly?

Out of the 3-4 King's Quest games I've played I only beat King's Quest VI (that was the last one with the decent graphics right?) My older brother and I did it without cheats but I remember spending hours trying to figure out the riddles. I would get so frustrated with the earlier games that I would kill my character over and over again by drowning him. How the fuck do I know what the witch wants and how the hell do you accomplish Splinter Cell like sneaking with an 8 pixel character?!

Anyone remember Miami Vice for c64? That game was so damn hard. I was happy if I got to a bar alive, let alone get to the bar at the time when there was someone in it

Tho F1GP2 is a bit better than this GP1. But GP2 isn't that old game.

I loved adventure games when I was kid (well, I still love em). Especially games released by Lucas Arts and Sierra. Monkey Island 1&2, Sam&Max, Indiana Jones & The Fate of the Atlantis / Last Crusade, Day of the Tentacle, Full Throttle and Police/Space Quest series.

Also Civilization/Colonization, Command&Conquer, Sim City, Transport Tycoon etc. were good games.

But the greatest of all: Bubble Bobble with 2-player game.

Ugh! is more fun co-op, especially when drunk/high. I highly suggest you all try it out!!

Of course the future GP's were a bit better. But GP1 could run on an Amiga 500. Not bad considering you only had 7Mhz to work with.
