Check out what the war has done...Bush's decision. I know my school, as well as others, are having teachers fired/quitting because of this budget cut. If Bush had helped his own country rather than worrying about Iraq, this wouldn't be happening. To the kids on the forum, if you think it's good that about 15-20 teachers are going to be out of the job, think about the effects: Less teachers causing less education in some parts of the country and the teacher is now unemployed...getting no dinero(money/revenue). Now, they have to look for a job...perhaps working at McDonald's flipping burgers and frying fries. And, maybe the younger teachers might go back to college for another career. That's just another way to waste money. Don't be surprised if they go for substituting... We're heading into depression again.

maybe i am way behind, but what budget cut is bush responisble for that affects your schools monetary budget? I was under the impression the states were responsible for their public schools. And your regional ISD was responsible for actaul cuts in which areas. Correct me if i have been totally wrong here.

Color me confused, but I don't see how it's supposed to help the economy at all. Remember that nice $300 tax refund that we got about 2 years ago? That didn't help either. I think he's fucking this one up.

I really have no idea what the tax cuts are covering. I have been busy with a senior design project and my sister's wedding that i havent' had time to pay attention.

I was merely saying that i have never heard of a tax cut fixated solely on removing funding for schools. I thought that states had provided the funding for school not the government. i mightbe wrong of course, but he never replied which makes me think i am right, as all pompous bastards tend to do.


whats $300? Its useless pretty much. I think giving businesses cuts in taxes and helping out the commercial sectors will be way more benfical for everyone.
