obama has not always stood by his word, watch him lie his ass off about universal health care:

You're right, he has the best record about getting out of Iraq, but unlike Paul who has gauranteed to not invade a country unless the congress has declared war obama will not make that assertion. he has made his stance on iran clear enough. from the chicago sun, "Sen. Barack Obama said Friday the use of military force should not be taken off the table when dealing with Iran, which he called "a threat to all of us."

Didn't Obama not accept any funding from the whole lobbyist thing, and doesn't he also want to end the war and bring the troops home?

That vid makes it seem like US is well on its way to become a 3rd world country.
He said that other countries would have restored faith in the dollar if it was backed by hard money , i.e. gold and silver. The point of the piece is that making more money out of thin air is never good, its one of ron paul's main platforms, and that and getting out of iraq is so much more important than all the other isues people have brought up against ron paul. people say okmg he's going to take away the federal reserve, the irs, the UN. If you watch what he says, he says that would be nice, but it wouldn't get done in a week or a year. Making currencies that are backed by gold, beginning to pull out of bogus wars are things he could begin immediately. I am just absolutely AMAZED that so many people on this forum and elsewhere are against ron paul, when he wants to stop the worst things about american foreign diplomacy and economics. I know we all hate Bush, or most of us, we hate corrupt politicians, we hate unjust wars, and this is the ONLY canidate who vows to do his best to stop them, the ONLY canidate who has stood by his word through his time of office, and everybody shits on him. We hate current system, but we do our best to get rid of the one guy who is also against it. INSANITY.
Yes, if the dollar collapses, which it doesnm't take any conspiracy nut to see that is the current trend, we will be on our way to being a third world country. Just because we have been in power for 100 years does not mean it will last forever. Thinking so is short sighted, and ignores all current information.
Please stop the rep vs. democrat argument. You think a certain party won a large war because it happened to be in the oval office at the time? Millions of soldiers won world war 2, not the president.Last edited by Vatican Assassin; 01-24-2008, 04:53 PM.

Russia lost the cold war, no one ended it. The Soviets faced an economic crisis which was a result of the arms race, they gave up in the end and conceded to the US. And the most important event of the Cold War where WW3 nearly happened, JFK (a Democrat) ended the Cuban Missile Crisis. And if you really want to stretch it the Republicans and Libertarians who went into post-communist Russia really did an awesome job.
There's no evidence Reagan's "tear down this wall" speech had any impact on the Communist states.
The Starwars program? The thing that cost billions and yielded no results. It's a joke in politics.
Too many people were involved in the development of the Internet, for one politician or political party to claim they created it would be a lie. But again, as the internet we love and use today requires that it remain neutral (see Network Neutrality); our Republican friends are letting the telecom companies violate the those rules that gave rise to the modern Internet. Providing broadband access to remote and rural areas should be a priority for ISPs but because there's little cost benefit and Government non-interventionism is prevalent... things remain the way they are.Last edited by Kolar; 01-24-2008, 02:24 AM.
