Well all of mine are PC unless you count Final Fantasy Tactics as an RPG, then that one is at the top of the list. But:

Diablo 2 - Believe it or not, I actually still like this game. The gameplay is systematic and I like it. The graphics suck, economy sucks, but I like the gameplay. The item system is also fantastic.

Everquest - This game had the BEST endgame. Since there really wasn't an "endgame" because things were so hard no one could do them and it just kept going. There was so much to do in that game it wasn't repetitive. Plus the economy actually worked, the gold and platinum system was great.

Ultima Online - The skill system was fantastic. Also the general gameplay was good. I liked the pack animals and the mounts as well as the "level" system.

Helbreath - The best skill system I've ever played with. The gaining % to each area of expertise to increase the efficiency of each spell was a great plus. Buying skills was a downer but it was made up for by the %.

Sword of the New World - This game was pretty awesome just because it enabled you to play as 3 people at once. You didn't need to party with people, just needed your one group. Plus the ability to level up while you were afk was awesome for me with so little time when I played it.

World of Warcraft - The graphics were good. The gameplay was good. The skill system was very good. The item system was great. The only problem I have with WoW is the endgame. Too repetitive. Auction House = $$

    Astonia 3
    - This game was pretty good. It is a time-passer. I honestly wouldn't pay to play it, but it was pretty good in the way that it was systematic like Diablo 2. You could build the "perfect" character if you knew what skills and stats to add to. The item system wasn't too bad, either.

    Archlord
    - I enjoyed this game mostly for the graphics. The item system was pretty dang good, as well. Auction House = $$. Really the only problem I had with this game was the fact that it relied on you to have potions because there was no healing class.

Shaiya - This game was cool. Simply because of a systematic skill system, no stats, and a healing class. I would've liked stats, the item system could've been better, but the graphics made it ok. The healing class was VERY needed and it made the game interesting.

Legend of Dragoon - I might as well put the only RPG I played that wasn't on PC. I thought it was pretty cool. I would play it again.

Final Fantasy IV - First RPG I ever really played and beat. Had it on a ZSNES emulator on a piece of crap computer that couldn't run anything else.

Final Fantasy VII - not even going to bother listing the reasons.

Final Fantasy XII/Tactics for NDS - Both great games, though the former is for PS2. First game I got with my PS2, beat it in a couple weeks. It took my a while to get a PS2 :P

Elder Scrolls III Morrowind/Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion - two of the greatest RPGs ever made to date. I love getting lost in those worlds.

Harvest Moon 64 - an old classic for me, spent hours at night trying to fake sleep while playing so my parents wouldn't make me goto bed for school.

Zelda Ocarina of Time - Did I see this mentioned yet? Maybe it wasn't as much an RPG as FFs and etc. but it was definatly classic.

Breath of Fire Series - A personal favourite of mine, like the fishing and hunting aspects, and Bugg was awesome.

Mario RPGs - always found them amusing, Paper Mario one for 64 amused me. Wasn't really many good RPGs on 64.

I'm not going to put top 10 just because there will be a bunch that have already been said but one of my favourites is definitely Legend Of Legaia for the PS1.

The storyline isn't as strong as many of the other rpgs out there, but the sotry keeps you captivated enough to go through the game.

The fighting system always had me captivated in the game. The ability to make combos on your own (using combination of right/left/high/low) and different combination of these 4 sets will gain you new moves (called arts). Also having the ability to defeat different monsters and gaining their powers to summon them in battles.

Do people naturally just call Zelda an RPG series just because it's in a fantasy setting? For those of you who included it, just compare it to the rest of your list in terms of gameplay style and you'll see how much it doesn't really belong. Don't give the old "but you're playing the role of Link, therefore it's an RPG" argument. You play a role in most video games. That's not what makes them role-playing games. And it's not about fantasy settings and dragons and the fact the main character swings a sword. That defines the thematic genre of a game, but RPG is a term for the gameplay genre. There's a separate genre for games like Zelda called Action-adventure. I'd put the Mana games in that genre as well.

Nintendo classifies Secret of Mana as an Action-RPG.
LoZ is clearly not an RPG, as it is labelled by many people as a Fantasy Action-Adventure.

Nick, they are both great games. Lufia II is a great turn-based RPG with challenging dungeon puzzles that could have you thinking for nearly 30 mins at times. Ogre Battle is a revolutionary game for its time paving the way for Final Fantasy Tactics with its grid based gameplay. Personally I enjoyed Lufia II a lot, and I know you will too. Thats my recommendation to you.

My personal favorite. I don't think I've ever been more on the edge of my seat during a video game finale. When Zidane pops up to surprise Dagger after surviving the vine rapage, I had a huge smile. The graphics were awesome (especially cut scenes) even by today's standards. Definitely blew away anything else on the PS1. Mostly I just loved the lighthearted take on such serious issues. Vivi's existentialist crisis, genocide and Mogs in the same game? How can you beat that story.

The only thing that sucked was Zidane basically ==== Cloud. Created to be an ultimate weapon but abandoned who rises up to destroy the annointed one and all that jazz. But still I love most things about the game. Freya, Steiner, Queen Buja, the Festival of the Hunt, The Mage village, and multiple worlds. FFIX is definitely underrated.

i have to say FF9 is kinda underrated, but that is prob because everyone was so amazed at FF7 since it was the FIRST Final Fantasy series MADE for PS1.. and FF8 had a HUGE boost graphic wise compare to FF7.. and FF9 wasnt that much better as FF8 graphic wise.. those are prob the reasons FF9 was kinda the one forgotten by many people

and FF8 had a VERY good story line with Squall and Riona.. i still remember those SeeD exam in the beginning, running away from that machine spider, was amazing.. only downfall was i didnt know the monsters level up as you do, so i spent all my time leveling up then hope to get bahamut.. i remember you had to fight like 4 Ruby Dragons in a row and at level 80, their Fire Breath just 9999 everyone on your team.. i was forced to restart

FF8 aura ability, Squall and Riona final limit breaks (Lionheart and Shooting Star) were amazing.. but getting items to make those weapons were pain in the ass also

as for FF9.. i think the game was too easy, like there was not a challenge at all, and the mini-game was pretty much the same as FF8.. only different is u can use 4 characters to fight at the same time.. thus, not a lot of people remember it.. and I didn't bother replaying it

No one liked Kingdom Heart? I thought Kingdom Heart one was pretty awesome since you can fight against Squall and Cloud in the battle place here u find Hercules
