  • But in some places, like Houston, we can afford to use them, all of the liberal cities lost their best jobs to cities with lower taxes, and usually the best jobs have things like a comprehensive health care package. The problem is a lot of cities and states won't allow the good jobs back in, or the good jobs refuse to open up shop or stay in a place because of high taxes or huge restrictions on environmental shit. Manufacturing companies etc etc etc, Toyota just announced they are hiring 1000 employees in Texas just recently to manufacture cars for instance. So there are more and better jobs in my state, and therefore less people unemployed, more people contributing to society and paying taxes, less people on welfare, and more people insured, hence we have one of the top medical fields in the world.

Is it really that difficult to understand?

In 2009, Mayo Clinic, Rochester, was ranked as the #2 overall hospital in the United States by U.S. News & World Report. A total of 4,861 hospitals were considered and ranked in 16 specialties from cancer and heart disease to respiratory disorders and urology; 174, or less than 0.4 percent of the total, were ranked in even one of the 16 specialties. Of the 174 hospitals that are ranked in one or more specialties, 21 qualified for the Honor Roll by earning high scores in at least six specialties. Mayo Clinic, Rochester, was ranked in the top 12 in all 16 specialties, in the top seven in 15 specialties, and was the #1 ranked hospital in four specialties. This demonstrates distinctive breadth of excellence.[4]

          • Wow kthx, I'm so glad you pointed out that the Mayo Clinic was the second best hospital in the United States. Let's consider this for a second. What good is a great hospital when the healthcare in this country is what we need to change. Stop avoiding that question. Just because people LIKE YOU can skate by by defrauding/delaying paying their medical caretakers, does NOT mean that most people (See: Majority of Doctors want universal healthcare, or THIS POLL which says 85% would like a public option) WANT THIS TO HAPPEN.

            • Hey look Japan is the only one on the list that has a population even close to a third that we have, also you are going to go by what the "world health organization" says after they just recently raised "Swine Flu" from a phase 4 to a phase 5 PANDEMIC? Yeah it might kill up to 3 TIMES MORE PEOPLE THAN ANY OTHER REGULAR FLU DOES EVERY YEAR. Oh noes.

So go get your Swine Flu vaccine that they want everyone to get for this terrifying illness.

“I have focused on the adjuvants made of monophosforyl lipid A (MPL) MF59TM (containing a polysorpate TweenTM 80) or AS03, AS04 also known as squalene in the proposed vaccines, which are immunosterilant or an immunocontraceptive,” Daniel Solis writes.

“The patent of the veterinary FERTILITY IMPAIRING VACCINE can be found on-line. It mentions both, the lipoid adjuvans squalene and the polysorbate TM80.

Here are the qotes from the patent and further some clinical studies about the toxicity of both.

(WO/1999/034825) FERTILITY IMPAIRING VACCINE AND METHOD OF USE
This application claims the benefit of U. S. Provisional Application No. 60/070,375, filed January 2,1998, U. S. Provisional Application No. 60/071,406, filed January 15,1998
“The vaccine of the invention preferably additionally includes an immunological adjuvant to enhance the immunological response of the subject to the glycoprotein antigen. Examples of adjuvants include Freund’s Complete Adjuvant, Freund’s Incomplete Adjuvant, and an adjuvant comprising an immunostimulant such as synthetic trehalose dicorynomycolate (STDCM) and an oil such as squalene oil (see P. Willis et al., J. Equine Vet. Sci., 14,364-370 (1994)). An adjuvant comprising synthetic trehalose dicorynemycolate, squalene oil, and a surfactant such as lecithin is preferred. Lecithin typically includes phosphatidyl choline. In a preferred embodiment the vaccine comprises oil, preferably a biodegradable oil such as squalene oil. Typically, the vaccine is prepared using an adjuvant concentrate which contains lecithin in squalene oil. The aqueous solution glycoprotein is typically a phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) solution, and additionally preferably contains Tween 80.”

There is scientific evidence that the swine flu vaccine, especially the adjuvants, specifically squalene, cause serious injury and death.Adjuvants have not been approved by the FDA for use in the USA .
              During the 1976 flu vaccinations:

Five-hundred people were diagnosed with Guillain-Barre syndrome
The vaccine was withdrawn after a period of only ten weeks because of the link with Guillain-Barre syndrome. The vaccine could have increased a person's risk of contracting Guillain-Barre syndrome by a factor of eight times. More people died from the vaccination than from the swine flu. The United States Government was forced to pay millions of dollars to people who were affected

There has already been some concern expressed that the new H1N1 vaccine has not been tested sufficiently. There is concern that the effects of the vaccine, particularly on children, remain unknown – even as the Fall flu season approaches in America. One senior British neurologist stated that he would not get the vaccine because of the risk of Guillain-Barre syndrome. Meanwhile, the focus of the vaccination program in America is to give the vaccine to everyone between the ages of six months and sixty-five years with an underlying health issue, as well as women who are pregnant and health care providers.
              Have fun.

Actually, I have health insurance, so I don't defraud any systems, and the VA (or socialized health care for the army) is refusing to pay for my girlfriend because she had the surgery at M.D. Anderson and recovered at St. Lukes. Funny how that works huh. I guess the best cancer treatment center in the world isn't covered by army socialized medicine, instead she should have had it removed by the army doctors who can't even handle a malaria vaccination or a simple reconstructive knee surgery.

                    • What don't you get, she signed up to help defend the country, got diagnosed with a brain tumor after serving four years, got an honorably discharge and was supposed to receive surgery from a VA clinic who didn't have the skill or technology to perform the surgery so personally sent her to one of the best neurosurgeons in Houston (ie the world) to get the surgery performed, it was a signed agreement that the hospital bills would be taken care of that the government failed to pay. Are you ignorant or something, I already explained this.

Sometimes it doesn't come down to better successes to get healthcare. If you have to drop out of college, to work, to pay for healthcare. Sometimes, the companies just can't afford it to give it to their employers.
