Well, of course Obama could take the high road when the media did his dirty work for him. McCain didnt have that luxury

The point is is that the smears from the McCain campaign where INSANELY incorrect, "socialist" - seriously?, "terrorist".. "Muslim" "Arab". After JUST those 4 the best you can come up with from the other side is "4 more years of Bush".

Just today i had to debunk the fact that Obama was Muslim, and that he didnt salute the flag. Said by people i consider friends, the amount of ignorance the republican party's base has spread is astronomical.

If America didn't exist we'd lose all our natural resources. We're already under threat to lose part of our northern land. The best thing Canada can do internationally and nationally is have a strong supportive American government. If Russia wants something from us and America wants nothing to do with us then we're fucked.

If we want to have an economy that relies solely on the American economy then at least we can hope for America to turn it's economic situation around. I'm all for developing our economy internationally, but yes, we are screwed if the Americans are screwed. We're in a mild recession. However, we have a stable housing market but politically and economically Canada is linked to America.

We might have an abundant amount of resources in this country but just because we say those are 'ours' doesn't make it so.

I'm not so sure. I bet Obama could bring America to orgasm. I would have thought your country was sick of flaccid, old, white man cock by now...

We're a nation that relies on trading with your country. Our economy and sovereignty relies heavily on the fact that we have a strong relationship. This election I'd argue heavily influences whether my country can get back on track. I'd hate to admit it but Canadians don't really give a shit about Canadian elections, it's important to us but Canada internationally doesn't mean a thing. It's important to me that my neighbors, my allies, my friends, and my family live in a country that works for its people and the people of this world.

Now let me enjoy the fact that America just elected Obama.

Why on gods green earth would you accept an endorsement from George Bush? The mans approval rating is how low? The reference of '4 more years of Bush' is a bit outrageous. But you have to realize voting someone in that votes the exact same way someone else does isn't 'change' as Obama put it. Regardless if you wanted that change or not, McCain was more like Bush than Obama was.

I don't want to get into the media fight with you again, cause we've danced around that issue long enough. But what I will say is that the references from the McCain camp were 10 times more widely outrageous than the Obama camp. Neither camp took the high-road, it's politics. However I felt that the attacks on Obama from the McCain camp far surpassed any bullshit the Obama camp put out. Oh and trust me I do know both camps put out their fair share of bull.

Yes, It seemed pretty obvious back then that Bush Sr. didn't really want to go a second term. He really didn't put very much effort in his campaign to be re-elected. ^-^

BTW, speaking of Bush, Bush Sr.'s dad, Senator Prescott Bush (& Rockefeller) was one of the major suppliers of funds to Hitler during WWII. Money & wealth is like energy; it doesn't die, it's just transferred. During the Great Depression of the 30's when America's economy suffered after what was called 'Black Thursday' in the stock market, America's money was being transferred to Germany to help Hitler build his war machine.

"It was not accidental. It was a carefully contrived occurrence... The international bankers sought to bring about a condition of despair here so that they might emerge as rulers of us all."
    -Rep. Louis T. McFadden (D-PA)

"I think it can hardly be disputed that the statesman and finanaciers of Europe are ready to take almost any means to reacquire rapidly the gold stock which Europe lost to America as the result of World War I."
    -Rep. Louis T. McFadden (D-PA) -Feb. 1931

"Actually, it was the calculated 'shearing' of the public by the World-Money powers triggered by the planned sudden shortage of call money in the New York Money Market."
-Curtis Dall, (in his book: Son-in-Law of FDR)

"The Federal Reserve definately caused the Great depression by contracting the amount of currency in circulation by one-third from 1929 to 1933."
-Milton Friedman, Nobel Prize winning economist

"After WWI, Germany fell into the hands of the German international bankers. Those bankers bought her and they now own her, lock, stock and barrel. They have purchased her industries, they have mortgages on her soil, they control her production, they control all her public utilities. The international German bankers have subsidized the present Government of Germany and they have also supplied every dollar of the money Adolph Hitler has used in his lavish campaign to build up a threat of the government of Bruening. When Bruening fails to obey the orders of the German International Bankers, Hitler is brought forth to scare the Germans into submissions. Through the Federal Reserve Board... over $30 billion of American money... has been pumped ito Germany... You have all heard of the spending that has taken place in Germany... modernistic dwellings, her great planetariums, her gymnasiums, her swimmings pools, her fine public highways, her perfect factories. All this was done on our money. All this was given to Germany through the Federal Reserve Board. The Federal Reserve Board... has pumped so many billions of dollars into Germany that they dare not name the total."
    -Rep. Louis McFadden (D-PA)
