this is pretty interesting, because I know two dudes who I met very recently and they're both... very, very, confused. one of them is a dude who was gay before i met him, but when i was hanging out with him he definitely ducked out for an hour or two to bang a chick. apparently he does this. the other dude is the opposite, i'm not close friends with him but he's dated alot of chicks who i've known, and suddenly one day he lets a gay friend of mine fuck him in the ass, and now they are butt buddies. and no, my friends aren't all gay, there are just a ton of them here in shreveport. but these recent episodes got me thinking, because it's not like your genes just flip the gay switch on and off randomly through life.

sounds like the first one is just a whore, I know a few people who have no standards or preference on gender, its usually not sexual preference that drives their bizarre behavior but a want to get off on anything and everything. a person like that (at least referring to the one individual i know) has psychological issues that go well beyond ones sexual preference. I think the abnormal behavior of the second person might have something to do with the society those individuals live in. living with family and friends that are gay I've had very different dealings in how they act, which is ultimately determined by the level of support their family and community shows them. throw religion and fear into the mix and homosexuality will come out in a spontaneous and sometimes awkward way. it's pretty simple, if you don't let people express themselves and be who they want to be then they try to fit a mold that doesn't quite fit them, and one day.... well shit just hits the fan.

I have one friend who just told me and my friends that he is gay, but he said he tried for years to date girls and get the idea out of the head that he was interested in guys. since his friends can now be his support mechanism, he is feeling more comfortable about actively pursuing a relationship with another man. he's in his mid 20's, he's known he has known he has been gay for 10 years and has been unable to act or even talk to another person about these feelings. he says his religion and family made him feel so shameful about who he was, and that he can never tell his family who he really is. the fact is that you can only live inside yourself for so long, I'm just thankful that he continues to talk about it.
