G+ will be available on smartphones very soon, it's only 4 days old.

I think google will have its advantages over facebook while facebook will have other advantages. It's possible this google thing will work out better towards people who are more familiar with computers. I've found it to be a bit confusing, but that's also possible because I'm so used to how facebook functions. It's very different, that's for sure.

One thing I'd really like to see from Google+ is an application section. I'd love to see a free licence to develop and run games on here. Google is so intuitive with things. They also have many many products out there and coming out in the future. It's very likely Google+ will be a part of them. Especially on cell phones.

Right now I don't see people moving over to google+ because facebook is so easy to access through cellphones. I also believe Google+ to just be an alternative. I don't think their goal is to dethrone facebook. No matter what company makes a social website, nothing will ever dethrone it. Facebook is facebook.

From what I can tell right now too, Google+ is actually quite different from facebook. You can't even private message people. Maybe this is partly because it's not implemented yet? I dunno. I can send direct messages to people though. I just have to specify my post to be directed at a single person instead of a circle (group of people), so nobody else can read it. It's actually quite like twitter to be honest.

I don't really see how this is going to topple facebook.. I guess the different levels of groups that you can decide who sees what is kinda cool but other than that it seems weird so far. But its still beta so.

i'm skeptical as well, but google is pushing hard to step up into the social media ring. they've got so much fucking money to throw at it that i don't see how it can't become at least a moderate success.

definitely gonna be tough to win users away from facebook though. even in this day and age with all the technology crammed down our throats everywhere we turn, people are still afraid of change.
