it's just that it's still in beta, pd. they did the exact same thing with gmail. part of it is to generate some buzz (no pun intended 'cause buzz really sucked and this is wayyy better). people hate exclusivity so they talk more about things they can't quite (yet) have. a big part of it, though, is just the simple fact that they really need to test this thing out.

it's not gonna topple facebook any time soon, if ever. it's a very decent alternative though. i hope g+ can stay a bit loftier (in terms of the overall atmosphere) than facebook because that's the one thing i hate the most about fb. it's a haven for shitwads at times.

worse was spotify ! i requested an account but they never gave me one :/ NOCKM kindly gave me an invite but i'd rather these things just had a sign up page than all this invite crap. like you say it's to generate some exclusivity, i dont like that

edit: after i sent the invite and added you to my spaceships circle i saw that you've already been posting. so i guess someone beat me to the invite.

i seem to have unlimited invites now. hitting up a bunch of friends and family so i can test this stuff out a bit more. it sucks only having a half dozen people in your circles, and just about all of them are spaceship people.
