I have no idea, I found that info on a site about mice but I have always wondered the difference between USB and PS/2 when it comes to keyboards and mice.

i just got a brand spanking new logitech something or other model that's pretty fancy and i'm using one of those usb to ps/2 adapter jobbies on the end of the cord. i keep getting that fucking beep all the time, and when i do get it, the whole keyboard becomes unresponsive for a second, leaving me as a sitting duck unable to dodge or anything. it's some supreme bullshit. i'll try plugging it into a usb port and see if there's a difference.
as for thrustshooting, you can't do it anymore, at least not like you used to be able to. the only way to pull it off now is really just with good timing, and if you've got lag, well then you're set. ask pretty much anyone on dice or a former shriek member to show you how it's done.jasonofabitch loves!!!!

aw...i need lag
btw, you guys use the tabs on your keyboard while playing, or do you keep them down?
Personally i keep them down.
Another interesting snippet is whether you use the left side Ctrl and Shift or the right side Ctrl and Shift?
I've used the left side for 5 years now, I wanted to try the one closer to the arrow keys, but this f'ing MS Natural Keyboard's control button is placed diagonally from the shift instead of under it (like it should be).

I use the MS Natural Elite keyboard and wouldnt play SS without it. THe way the arrow keys are, its so easy to do funky moves. People always wonder if I use joypad, but no faggorts i dont. anyway the other day i thought my keyboard died so i went to 6 stores looking for the same one, couldnt find it at..walmart,target,officemax,circuit city, bestbuy and comp usa. WTFZ MS NATURAL KEYBOARDS FOR LIFE. oh and it has an insert keyy right above the up arrow.
trueeI agree.

I'd group keyboards into 4 categories:
1) Normal stuff (e.g. modern Microsofts and Logitechs)
2) Like 1) but with tall and stiff keys (old KeyTronics)
3) The flat thingies (Logitech UltraFlat, most laptop keyboards)
4) Wierd stuff like the natural keyboards
I prefer group 1, I hear some people like 2 because of a "better feel". Whatever. Group 3 sounds like a good choice, but you don't feel the gaps between keys and will press wrong buttons at times, of course unless you take time to get used to it. I have never tried naturals or stuff but there are always people who like the wierd thingies and claim it's the best.
I'm using some Logitech multimedia keyboard, it does have the big delete key, but that doesn't matter because I'm using wierd custom confs (burst Q, multi W, rep A, x/antiwarp S, attach D, warp Z, port X, rocket C, mine caps, alt/tab reversed).
