Was a hot summerday, was too lazy to go out, so I sat and searched for multiplayer online games, and this game popped up. Was gonna make the name Ratty, but it was taken, so I made the coolest name ever with 3 dots. :wub:

Used to play console games at my cousins place but one day it was broken so we played on PC. He showed me Subspace (had the CD and all) and I was like wtf that looks boring but he insisted that I need to try, so I gave it a shot. I played like 15mins and thought, this is boring, I suck in this. Then he played and I got bored so to avoid watching it I decided to try again... and again. been hooked ever since.

I blame boredom. If this game had looked any more interesting I would have just watched happily while he plays instead of trying myself.

But to answer the question, I didnt d/l this until like 1 yr after cos I didn't have PC at home and once I finally got one, I was too afraid of using some surely illegal crack version. By the time I d/led this I was already hooked

In high school (230948234 years ago) I was doing a report on sub-machine guns and the word "Subspace" was on page 3 of the yahoo search results. Out of curiosity, I clicked the link.

I downloaded it after i saw my friend nate playing at a mutual friends house. After a few embarrasing first go's at the game i finally got good enough play 3 deaths each, hah like thats gonna fill the massive blackhole now created by this game. I became a monument at the friends house (i was too poor to have my own pc at the time) Knocking on the door like a Jehovas witness at 8:30 in the morning asking if i could play some trenchwars =\

Finally got myself together a lagfactory (interms of cpu speed not connection) that i could download thy beloved game, I dont play near as much as i used to and dont take the game all that serious but thats where i was when i first started "just playing for fun"

Can't remember where I got it from, might've been some cd. (So I'm a bit cheating here, topic said "downloaded") I think I didn't even have internet back then so when I started it I was like "wtf is the idea in this... oh it's supposed to be played with other people. What kind of game is that?". About a year later I found it again. And I had a modem, woo. (Phone bills, yay.)

saw my sister's friend (CrazyBubbles from EG) play in 1999. he gave me a link to download it, and i got ADDICTED until 2001 (EAT SLEEP PLAY). played very on and off until 2005. now im hooked again but not as much as I was.

how i got started on this game, eh...

well it was grade 10 programming class...a bunch of crazy peeps were playing this game (subspace), and I was like..that looks like the stupidest thing I've ever seen...they were playing elim and I was like, what...I couldn't understand how Robo Ref worked or how they could be playing some silly spaceship game...

And eventually I just did what all the cool kids did..heh...although I have no clue how they found out about it..maybe i'll ask one of 'em...but ya...oh and I installed the game on all the school computers so i'm sure a few other ppl play this game that I don't even know about
