Ive already thought of the multies that people will try to use....Thats defeated pretty ez cuz they all have to register before march 1st, and theres several reasons for that:
All entries are LOCKED after March 1, 2005. I wont allow any late entries for ANY reason after that date.
I will keep a very detailed list of everyone that has entered the tournament.
I have a Mod/Staff friend that will be on hand. When I get the list...he will crosscheck it inside the zone and catch anyone tryin to multi
So if someone is using a multi..I WILL FIND THEM.
Im sure for $200 US.....you will find a way to get yer money if you win and dont have paypal...im not very worried about that
Now as you can see that Ive already thought this through. Ive been planning this for the last 3 months, so if you have anymore concerns I'll be glad to answer them for ya.

yer concerns are warrented and well thought out....However Ive thought of those too If I see the need to "Bond" the money to a 3rd party, I will...I have no worries with that. That is a good question, however I think excessive lag will be spotted and dealt with accordingly if the need arises.
I have a staff of friends that will oversee the games with me. This is why i broke it up over 3 seperate days to handle the load. Eliminations on the 10th, Semi Finals on the 20th, and finals on the 25th.
Once I have the list on March 1, I will have a general idea when to hold the games. I will impose the tournament starting time at a time that I feel most players will be able to make. If they cant make it, then there's not much I can do.Dispose of staff? I stated that I have a friend that is a mod/staff member. One of the reasons I have a cuttoff date of March 1 is so he can check the list for any double entries...IE multies, people registered under 2 names..etc. Pretty ez to prevent multis this way.
Well there's other ways other then Paypal...such as western union wire transfers. It doesnt require that I have the person address, just their name and what city/country they live in. Believe me, for $200 US...People will find a way to get the $$. If I have to...I will have it bonded to Dock> or another sys op.

Im running this tournament despite all the unfounded accusations that people make here.
a few points:
1) Ive contacted staff and Dock> to get the $$ bonded with them. Im waiting for a response back at this time.
2) Trying to get a little more staff support on this
3) At least 1 <ER> that I have spoken to has agreed that he will host the even for me, but is speaking with a few more of the staff at this time.
At this time, 40 people have signed up for the event, and I am doing everything in my power at this time to make sure that this runs as smooth as possible.
Those of you that dont believe, or simply cant understand why I would do something like this....dont worry about it. I know I dont. Just sit on the sidelines like you've been doing and let my actions speak for themselves.
This is a legit deal and im looking for any support people wanna give in helpin me get this off the ground.

Hey everyone....
On the recomendation from the almighty Pure_Luck, Im sorry to announce that I must reschedule the Legacy

Tournament to the following:
April 10 Eliminations
April 15 Semi Finals
April 20 Finals
This has been done to accomplish the following things:
Allows me to have 100% staff support behind me
Allows me to bond the $200 prize money with staff support
Allows me access to a "LegacyBot" in the arena
Allows me a custom map in ?go #Legacy (currently Under Construction)
Allows me access to a "fully automated" website that will track the players results for each legacy tournament
Allows me to open the player roster to 128 players total
Now I know some of this is a bit Trivial, but its important to me and the legacy staff members that legacy's debut tournament goes smooth. In order to have that, I MUST have staff support on this, and THUS must bend to their will on certain matters.
The tournament dates listed are final, and will not conflict with TWL.

As for the lessons....
well cant say that there were any lessons that I myself needed to worry about. I pretty much knew that a few people were gonna be negative, and as you can see I can pretty much handle them ez. Most of what the negatives had to say on this issue didn't hold much water anyway...just their paranoia, and pecimism about anything & everything. It's to be expected from these guys.
I know I could have done this without staff support, but it's a hell of alot easier with them on board.

With my arena done, and the bot almost done.....we'll have a good tournament. anyway....my mistake for the misunderstanding pure....I'll remove you from the list on my next update.
