POLL: Should Javelins get XRadar back?

I say Javs get it back, with the drain it used to have so you can use it in only short bursts.

I still like to play x because of the flag steals, and cloaking people causes them to cry like little babies.

I don't really think the javelin being players' "favorite ship" has much to do with the way they voted;

I can't imagine that an avid Warbird or Leviathan player wouldn't want Xradar on their ship. Although the Javelin is a more vital and popular ship for basing, which might also increase the turn out.

I think they feel, like me, that their X-Radar was unnecessarily taken from them and they want it back.

I find it necessary in the sense that the cloaker can now more easily take out the players that are constantly lobbing bombs into the flag room, even when their opponents' defenses are down. However, as it stands now it is actually TOO easy, the Weasel can just pop out and in and kill the Javelin off in mere seconds.

I completely agree with the rest of your arguments.

I vote no. Right now with the depleting energy it is already hard for cloakers to get in the base undetected. Their either have to give up stealth or cloak, therfore giving Javs their position on radar. The bombs splash is more effective because with the depleting energy the weasels are already weaker than normal. This means javs can already bomb the cloakers before they enter. Now, if cloakers had unlimited cloak and stealth, then yes give javs x radar. But with Lamecasters AND Javs having x radar cloakers wont have a chance in hell. Lancs are already taking out weasels in 1 shot, which is stupid.

By the way people, the question was should javs have x radar... Not should you change the cloaker back to its old size and revert all the settings to back in the day.

The reason I initially started my crusade to get x radar for javs so long ago was because they once had it. I'm not suggesting you give it back to levi's because without lame cloakers kicking your ass, LT's would be constantly raping the team. Thus, weasels serve an integral role in spawn keeping levi's from greening.

However, javs actually did have x radar, and it was taken from them without discussion with the general population. So, basically, give it the fuck back so I can be happy again.

The weasel does much more than just keeping Leviathans in check. It is extremely useful for cleaning the upper base (IE: roof) of campers and players that do hit-and-run attacks. This includes Javelins.

I absolutely agree with you that this change was rather abrupt and that the effects it had on the gameplay and ship balance were overlooked.

I feel that staff has the right to change anything they wish, it is their zone. Still, it would be appreciated if they announce the adjustments they are going to make and why, so that people can discuss it. This in turn may provide the staff with more insight and get the players involved in the zone they enjoy so much.

So, basically, give it the fuck back so I can be happy again.

Okay. I have played all different types of ships, and I have voted no.

The weasel is raped enough as it is, since it cannot have both stealth and cloak on and still shoot as of the latest revision. The only thing it is good for now is its xradar, but since there are no other good cloaking ships, this is useless anyway. So the weasels don't need one more reason to be useless.

This thread should be a GIANT hint to upper-staff. Run a poll on making the weasel big again. I gauruntee that everyone who voted for the jav to get it's x-radar back would also vote to make the weasel large again. You would even get some of the "no" votes in this thread to vote for the large weasel.

This zone is player-run for players. Just because a person or two in upper-staff thought the tiny weasel would make gameplay better in pubs doesn't mean it did. Especially when the majority of the population completely disagree and want the weasel's settings reverted to how they were when it was a normal sized ship.
