Everybody I know laughs with me when I say I play an online 2d game andt hen i'm like 'but it's so fun and not so easy as it seems' but yeah they just keep laughing I can spam alot of game forums a friend of my owns a big game website in belgium maybe I can convince him to write a little article about continuum on the website the website even has a tw-show so the website has alot of visitors! And like many other I too am on other forums too so I like the sig idea where everybody wears that sig on another forum.. Maybe make a best banner contest and do a zoner and put it as welcome message in pubs so that everybody knows about it.

I have pretty large connections to other gaming communitys and some big sites (not all are game-related).

Talking to few people I think I would be able to enlarge the player amount of SubSpace a lot.

Perhaps it's an idea to not only advert and write articles on international site's, seeing we got a lot of people from different countries, for example I could write a review in dutch on a dutch site, and someone from another country could do the same. Seeing I know many dutch people that would never read most of the international game review sites.

EDIT: Perhaps it's a good idea to give the chat from your country in the article aswell, so people won't be helpless once they've installed and played the game, I think 9 of 10 people quits cause they never knew the main purpose, or never got in contact with the community. Like this, we can all help the new people out.

Ok so ive read this thread and have first hand seen the TW population fall from 770 to 500. Now i have a number of ideas, some of which involving money, others not. I know Priitk is loaded with him being a primary creator of Kazaa and getting a lot of Dollah off SKYPE. So now here are my ideas along with the expansion of above ideas.

1. Google The biggest search engine of them all. When you search for something you look at the first page only, lets be honest. If we are not going to be on the first page its not going to help. Purchase words which people are going to search for initial, not what describes are game.

ie don't buy tw/trenchwars buy FREE ONLINE MULTIPLAYER GAME that will get 1000s of hits a day i guarante. Maybe also try getting it onto other search engines such as Yahoo/AltaVista.

2. Video A picture paints a thousand words, a video does a lot more. This game is about fast paced team work. Show that on the video. When i watch an ss video i dont want to see 4 people basing in public id like to see 2 squads such as disoblige and Ancients basing. Make enphasis on teamwork, WEAR THE SAME BANNER, to me thats an appealing feature of this game. Show the fast paced action then show the variations, Warzone, Bug, Twtown, Dodgeball. Show them what it means to play these zones. Also make sure its good quality and not blury cause it will simply put people off. At the start and end of the video have a link to the site please .
For these videos to work on youtube/google video you have to get it into the top 100 of that day. That means spamming that video on every forum you know at the sametime on the same day. That way it gets a lot of clicks quick and can build up into a multiplier effect. Once its in the top 20 people will view it what ever it is. Get the correct key words as well such as multiplayer free game... The sounds of this game are good imo, however put a funky backing track to it such as Tha 4orce : Biting on the hook Found at www.myspace.com/tha4orce Select that track

3.Websites We all visit other forums. Get this one in your Signatures. Sumpson makes signatures and hes good at his. Lets make a standard one then ask people to advertise it for the game they love.
Myspace of this game. Get a myspace profile up and make it linked to everyone who plays this game, simple as, the more hits the better.
The forums for this game are alive and kicking maybe we should put emphasis on the culture behind this 10 year game and add to the fact about the rivalry between squads such and WR and Pallies.
Ive said this for a while write to www.miniclip.com and www.i-am-bored.com your going to get people from there.

4. Advertising off the internet This may seem extreme but go to a professional and get posters up in the real world, the more i think about this the more expensive it seems and a bigger waste it becomes.

5. Email Chain

Somebody write an email post it up here then we send it through our mail accounts to everyone asking them to forward it as well. Simple, effective.

However for this to occur i think a number of things are going to have to happen within the game itself. Clear up the Squads and Names please. Id say make it drastic and make it stick. You get 3 slots for names. You are only allowed 3 names. 5 Squads. Reset the squads and names now if they havent been used in over 6 months and have less than 1000 Hours usage reset them.

Im keen to get involved with this, if you need help with a video pm me in game as Endangered and i will be writing on a number of forums.

Another quick idea why not get a TW logo on www.drawball.com and try to keep it up drawing the community together?

I've noticed the empty banner slot on the forums at the top ^^ Maybe you could use that now empty banner slot in a banner exchange.

Also i'm going to work on creating a new friendly installer for continuum that helps you set up your profile, so people can just click on a zone and play and it will include the 0.39pre release as many zones now require you to run that. Ill post it up sometime this week when i get a chance to work on it...

Also someone needs to take up the massive task of emailing all the people with broken links to subspace.net to fix them....

There's already a Myspace Group for Continuum, but an actual page would be great.

Getting www.subspace.net back up just with a very simple design and a link to both the game and links to all other sites within the community would be a good idea too.

Edit: I think this has been said before, but can we get an updated TW banner to replace...


Plus the 3 advert banners I designed are starting to look a bit tired.

Why dont we do stencils instead of poster. I know there are stencilers on this game if someone makes a stencil ( i could ) i could put it up and people could download it cut it out, then spray it around town.
