The Weasel alone will not have a big impact (if any) at the playerbase. The normal size Weasel was a fine ship before (there was really no reason to change it to a small one at all IMHO), it can and will be that again. Besides, the new map could open new possibilities for the Weasel as well.

Well ever think about just fixing the thrust shot and leaving the rest alone? Your opinion of what the X should be, and how you are changing it just shouts "I have never played an X for any period of time and have no clue how to really fix it". If you actually played a small X you would figure out that it is pretty balanced for its job and fits everything that you said an X should be. The large X for heavy basing just plain and simple sucks and is only really good for getting on a private freq and spawning. Tell me, in all honesty how much have you played both the big and small X in heavy basing? Because anyone who has some actual experience with it would agree with me that the changes have ruined it.

You are not going to get more than a few new players to this game and changing what keeps the main player base here is just going to make them leave and kill the game.

I have no problem with trying to make the game better but these changes just show you have no real experience playing the ship that you are completely ruining in the "hope of making the game better".

Despite my stance in this topic, I am still willing to consider other ideas and options.

I love how everyone here just lose his cool over this. Seriously I don't think all that disrespect is justified. Is a little tolerance for someone with a diverging opinion really too much to ask for? Gawd, I sound old.

I'm just thankful I'm not part of a staff which has to make decisions based on that sort of "debate". :P

just stop this shipsets changing bullshit, we all choose to play here because of it.

Leave X big if its going to have instant kill bullets. I wouldn't mind small Xs who used Level 2 bullets though.

We dealt with your garbage for two years

Sounds like someone has issues about being killed by those "way overpowered little ships" killing everything and no one could kill them because they were invisible. If you had any problem with an X being way too overpowered then you are just a crappy player. There are way too many ways to counter an X and Xs only have a limited amount of tricks up their sleeves. And terrs do have this mystical thing called portal as a counter. Besides it is nearly impossible to use thrust shot in an enemy base. And flocks of Xs? There are way more javs(maybe 4-6 on EACH team) in a basing game with only 2-4 Xs on BOTH sides.

The problem wasn't so much single small weasels as it was the flocks of them that constantly overran the flagroom. A terr MAY have had an adequate chance at defending against one, but when multiple sets of three pretty fast L3 bullets came flying at him he was pretty much going down. And that just wasn't right. Moot made it right, and now the minority is trying to outwhine the majority. We dealt with your garbage for two years, now shut the fuck up and let the testing phase finish before you continue crying.

If having the small X get into base through the holes is a major problem then you either dont base much or have very crappy ters/lancs/sharks/javs on your team. It is really really easy to kill a small x and its only real defense was to dodge. Face it you wanted to increase basing and the large x is worthless for basing. When it was small it was a wild card and could change the game by slipping in and killing the terr(after dying quite a few times), now it is only good for going on a private freq and killing in spawn. And WTF putting levs in does not stop jav tks it only makes it so levs tk their team too(they wont just kill the enemy jav you know).

And if thrust shot is the only problem then FIX IT and leave the rest the hell alone.

Who said anything about cramming? Certainly not me.

It's just ridiculous to allow one ship to move around the map in ways that no other ship can. Bouncing bombs is one thing, but when a ship itself can go through small holes it just throws everything out of whack. Now that it faces the same map restrictions as the rest of the ships, everyone that abused the small weasel to no end is crying foul. This is just a test, so stop getting your panties in a twist.

It doesn't have the ability to duel warbirds. It doesn't have the ability to easily take down a Terrier. It also doesn't have the ability to sneak into flagroom. A Terrier says "x", and there's only ONE place it can be coming from to enter the flagroom. You say you want the Weasel to be an assassin? Simply cloaking doesn't make it an assassin. Allowing it to enter through the holes adds a level of assassin-like qualities, in that it could come in from anywhere, at any time. Oh but it has a repel. And a rocket. Yep, it must be an assassin already.

For the first part of your paragraph, were you playing a different zone? Letting the Weasel creep through holes and shoot fast Level 1 multifire bullets surely makes it a killing machine.

Sure, introduce Leviathans so instead of Javelin teamkilling, we have Leviathan teamkilling. How incompetent are you, really?

I'm very incompetent. Thanks for asking. Leviathans get rid of Javelins because they like to hang around walls, and well Leviathan + walls, I think you get it. The Leviathan's blast was reduced, so I would imagine teamkilling would be slightly lower.

Rather, the people who used to cry out "change the weasel to big size so it can't come in through roof. It ruins our cram!", are actually the people who can't utilize basic strategy. What a coincidence those aren't pubbers...

Yes, because there is so much cram action going on in Public at the moment. I think people were complaining because of the single tile Warbirds were pretty much dominant over any other ship. I suppose I can see where you see that helps basing, oh...

Sumspon, you're just glad to have another opportunity to jump on my ass, spouting garbage. I don't think I have ruined the Cloaker's uniqueness. It is still the only ship that can become invisible entirely. It doesn't have the ability to duel Warbirds, nor easily take down the ship it was supposed to be weak against. And the Javelin teamkilling is easily fixed. Simply introduce Leviathans back in.
