Strikeball Free Agent List

Bad news, squad Elites has dissolved (for no good reason :P) The good news is that this is a great oppertunity for someone else to step up and captain a squad, as Elites had a lot of players who now went to the Free Agent list. At the very least, this is a good oppertunity for a few squads to pick up some more people and fill in their rosters.

404, I think it would help if we set up a time for everyone to meet up and we'll just play Preseason matches throughout that time span. Whichever squads who have played the least will get first dibs on a match.

2 new squads have been created, and one of those squads is based on a player from Meta and Under_Score. Finally, we have 4 squads that have no won a game yet, meaning they need to play someone who isn't Quickball or Meta. Hopefully the captains of these squads will look to find a match against one of the teams they have not played yet. As of now, only 3 squads qualify for the league, so we need more games played among the other squads.

The problem I already see in regard to scrim times and squads that need to qualify, is the timezone situations that have some living in Europe and others in N. America and elsewhere.

I would suggest that weekends have certain times set aside to allow for these required scrims, so that those that want to play, yet cannot make a scrim on a weeknite can do so.

Set up Sat. & Sun. times and make the league aware that during these days at these times, those squads interested in participating can have the turnout and set scrims with a host available.

The act of just calling out in the chat for a team that wants to scrim is not the most effective means to get support. We have the website for Strikeball...add section that perhaps would set open spots as to when a scrim can be hosted with a contact email to reserve that time and make it happen.

Just my thoughts on this.

[EDIT] BTW...I like the idea of the messagebot, but I personally do not see that as being the answer to setting up scrim, especially at evening hours EST.

Nobody's gonna recruit you if you aren't active =P So get out there and play? haha

Sorry for the wait on updating the lists. I removed the Recent Action and replaced it with Major Action. There were too many little changes that were not very important, so only modifications to the roster that I find notable will be added here. Also, it looks as if Brainwave is getting active again, so hopefully they'll be playing a few preseason matches. I suggest using MessageBot as an easier means to find a squad for a game. I can make the captain of each squad an operator on the channel. Then simply PM MessageBot with !announce Strikeball:[message here] to find squads looking for games. This might make it less hard to find challenges. So far, the captains that have joined, I will make them operators. Join the channel everyone, just copy and paste this and push enter: :MessageBot:!join Strikeball
