any idea to the length and frequency of seasons so far?

im kinda new to the strikeball spiel...

what i took from that comment is that expect the first season to be a newbstomp? but since i think that im going to have a blast getting destroyed game after game... ofcourse i will play next season. i kinda like jasons idea... or at least the operators of this should try to make sure there are a handful of competitive teams instead of 2 or 3 teams that will compete and 6 or 7 that will get elbow dropped week in and week out. but hey, maybe it wont be like that and everything will be superduper.

A salary cap type of system would be nice, but a lot of people don't want to play with anyone but their "friends" (particularly Meta) so they would have some issues about a system like this. As well, people wouldn't be very honest in the rankings with some people to intentionally make it difficult for them to join a squad, or intentionally make it easy for them to stack up on players by all voting valuable players lower than they're worth. The first season of course will have many issues with balance, but after a season of playing, most of the people will be experienced so that next season we will have a much more competitive and balanced league.

everyone participating in twsbl needs to be given a value based upon a player vote (or whatever is deemed to be the most fair method possible), and once we know the value of each player participating in the league, we can institute a salary cap for each squad. as it stands, this season is going to be a joke and a snorefest as two ridiculously stacked powerhouse squads (meta and underscore) curb stomp opponent after opponent.

without parity, a competition isn't really much of a competition at all.
