The people without a squad usually are picked during my hosted games. maybe not the first time, but I cap on purpose the 2nd game to un stack the teams. Besides after one capped game or so, I unlock it...and the arena stays populated for a long time and plenty of new players get involved. You could always help out and join one of the weaker squads.

Very nice league breakdown IKB, thanks for the post. As well, I've updated the Free Agent and Squad list. Hopefully I can build up the Free Agent list some more. I also hope that someone else would be willing to step up as a captain and create their own squad. You don't have to be an excellent or even good Strikeball player, just someone who will be committed to the game and his players. If anyone would like to become a captain for the league, message me in game as I would be willing to help with recruitment, practices, and preparation for the league.

a look at the league teams

In regards to the argument that there should a limited number of teams and that there are too many vets on too few teams:

In case ya'll hadn't noticed, there's only 6 teams in the running right now.

U_S: Probably the favorite heading into the league. With a starting line containing trunks, avatar_hero, mastakith--, and Will, theres not much room to grow. With a few games under their belts, their chemistry will improve making them hard to beat... assuming all their players show (looking at you trunks/preempt)

Metanoia: A strong core with left hand, anida, and the overrated ikillburger. We'll start off really strong becuase we've always tried to play with each other, and know each other's game really well. Meta could use a few more decent players imho. With yamaha's lag issues, and I wouldnt count on holy to show, there's room for another player or two to get a playing spot.

Quickball: The team with the best chance to cause a big upset. Once veh shakes his rust off and blueblaze learns to pass, they should have an extremely powerful offense. Quickball's best asset may be their very deep bench. Pretty much any QB player is good enough to start on any team.

$flabby$: I missed their game vs QB, but their second half numbers speak a lot. Going 3-3 against QB isnt easy. A good set of players are in there like Sodomizer and fusha. it's Fusha.

Elites: Already they have a really good core with some big names. They could benefit from taking a few players from the free agent list to help them fill their team.

Got Balls: the final strong team in the league. Props to emery for growing his team so quickly. Tag and emery are both good, but I dont know if they can lead the team to victory.

Big names that arent with one of these teams
nockm :said he wasn't going to play this league, but he did make 2. and if you could get him, freezer and koan are more likely to make an appearance :P
cylor: I know you're good. If you really think the leagues going to turn out poorly you could help by joining one of the weaker teams
div/tricer : still sitting on their own team. This pair is enough to make any team a contender.
jeeny and vyk are sitting on an empty team.
damean angel's team is empty as well. He wouldnt be a bad acquisition.

Theres still at least 15 really good players on the free agent list. Come on caps, do some recruiting. and dont forget to play some games to qualify for league.

You're right, constructive criticism never got us anywhere, now did it? We jus' keeps our big mouths shut and trust everything will turn out dandy.

    Update:

Quickball faced $Flabby$ in two preseason matches today. Quickball won the first one 15-4. Although it was 12-1 at the end of the first half, $Flabby$ kept it to 3-3 in the second half. They faced problems with one of their players in the first half, which posed a problem for them in the round. The second game was even closer ending at 19-16 in favor for Quickball. $Flabby$ could become a very strong squad in the future showing early on that they can compete in with other squads in this league.

Poor management, poorly organized- get it together or watch it fall apart.
i assume scrimmages are capped games

When us hosts do start a capped game, we always try and pick some newer players. If they don't get a chance to play, i make sure they get in the next game.
