Well personally speaking I dont understand why we even bother with northan island and you can take scotland and fuck off. I say bring on independance, then maybe we can have the same benfits down south like free university tuition. Had enough of all these haters on england. History tells us a story of use and abuse, this isn't to be taken personally. Scotland and Ireland have a common dislike towards England, and you can't blame them since England has used them against each other for a long god damn time. England is completly different than how it was, same with America during times of slavery. I think countries like England have matured, and are great example of a strong western nation but it's neighbors see the real history in how this great country came about.

If 'Britain' represented countries better then you wouldn't have people like Pressure Drop who feel like it doesn't make sense to play for England when he should be playing for Ireland. Ireland might identify with Britain a lot more than The ROTW but if one thing I've learned one thing is that Irish and Scottish people are proud of their independence, and if you so much as insult their independence purposefully or un-purposefully you might as well just avoid that person because they will want nothing to do with you. My father was born in Edinburgh and even after many years of peace between England and Scotland he still says there's a lot of controversy between the two countries, it's mainly trash-talk but these are proud people who were used an abused so of course they deserve the right to be proud of themselves.

As I’ve already said I couldn’t be arsed going into the reasons. I think it’s a simple request and given the history of BWC let alone Britain and Ireland, not an unreasonable one.

When this was created it was team Britain – not UK + Ireland

It was set up by Zeus – English and web development Rab –English

Dald and Bananas decided to resurrect this event, what new way of splitting it up have they done? stayed clear of any truly controversial moves to split Europe. They listened to arguments for the tradition of the event. Except mine …

They left Benelux alone … try taking Belgium of them , they wouldn’t have it.
Would they try a north European team with Swedes and Finns , no the finns wouldn’t want the Swedes only finns etc …

Did they scrap Britian by far the weakest European team in favour off Team Rest of Europe ? No and a lot of British ppl who signed up wouldn’t have if they had of done that.

Merge it into RoTW and split East USA further ? no …



There is VERY little difference, RoTW which I’ve played with in previous competitions, indeed the ONLY difference I can see is an Australian decided to rebrand the british team UK & Ireland team instead which is stupid

Given the staunch positions of other countries regarding spits and mergers, why should I be any different when I’ve played for RoTW before and Britain wanted to be alone in the first place

Although it is easy to turn it around and say it’s people like me perpetuating the historical problem, that is in itself insulting. I get along with British people fine and have former squadies and some friends on that team . . .

However in a Basing World Cup it should be about representing the nation you identify with . . .

I disagree that Ireland is some off shoot of the UK when it was formerly part of the RoTW in this event. To me it’s still the British team, I don’t feel british – Put me on RoTW

Ireland and Scotland have been shat on for a long time, I completly understand why some people from these countries refuse to identify themselves as British. It's like if someone said Canada isn't represented in BWC and we have to play for Team America. I wouldn't play on Team America nor would I expect you to play on Team Britain. Play for whatever team you think best identifies you, if you think your country has been downplayed then play for ROTW and just have fun.

there are plenty of people playing for places they shouldn't be playing. pauloakenfold consistently played for the u.k. even though he lives in connecticut or some dumb shit like that (he's a fuck-HEAD). fit of rage plays for west u.s.a. even though he's originally from east u.s.a. pd clearly feels more of an affiliation with rotw than u.k., so let him play there.
