I'd usually post something sarcastic to this, but seeing as I'm captain of the UK+Ireland team I'll try and post something a little more constructive.

Firstly PD, the UK+Ireland team is weaksauce and we need every baser we can get.

Please put your politics aside and realise that Ireland and the UK are, geographically atleast, very close and in contemporary affairs the Irish and the British have made substantial steps to intergrate cultures and politics. Disappointingly, however, I have to say that the attitude you exude now is symptomatic of the rigidity of this historical problem and one of the reasons it is still not fully resolved. Also realise that this is not some insult to your nationality, political heritage or religious beliefs but a practical solution to an imperfect problem. I'm sure some French players wouldn't want to play with German players, I'm sure some anti-colonialists in the RoTW wouldn't want to play with some European players, I'm sure some North Americans wouldn't want to play with South Americans, but the fact is the distribution of players is not equal so the BWC staff are making the best of the situation.

So my Irish brother, fight with me in arms today and forget our conflicting past.

Dald and Bananas decided to resurrect this event, what new way of splitting it up have they done? stayed clear of any truly controversial moves to split Europe. They listened to arguments for the tradition of the event. Except mine …

They left Benelux alone … try taking Belgium of them , they wouldn’t have it.
Would they try a north European team with Swedes and Finns , no the finns wouldn’t want the Swedes only finns etc …

There is VERY little difference, RoTW which I’ve played with in previous competitions, indeed the ONLY difference I can see is an Australian decided to rebrand the british team UK & Ireland team instead which is stupid

I disagree that Ireland is some off shoot of the UK when it was formerly part of the RoTW in this event. To me it’s still the British team, I don’t feel british – Put me on RoTW

Please be assured that I was not axed and I could of remained captain if I had requested so.

I'm the kind of person as you may know that wants the majority to be happy and I'll sacrifice myself to do so. I'm sure you remember on my squad for example, and I apologize now my friends for the example is poor, but as captain I'm willing to sit every game and let the rust thicken if my friends are happy. I approach life this way and wish more would do the same, for this happiness everyone strives for in their decision making and doing what they want to do to have fun would be satisfied if only they did what everyone else wanted instead. For if we all do what everyone else wanted someone is going to provide you the happiness you gather from what you wanted to do initially yet you are receiving it from someone else rather than being selfish. This my friends, is love.

I don't even know why I'm babbling for nobody cares except me and my thousand faces.

I'm happy with being an assistant and I know Vatican Assassin is going to do a wonderful job, far better than I could of done my friend. I only hope that from this experience I am able to grow closer to the basers on this wonderful west coast we reside in. I wish even now that people would embrace instead of push and I question where are you pushing too?

I don't even know why he resigned, I regard Jack like mentor of mine and we have always been tight like Jack is with a lot of players. If I had to name a really experienced, skillful player who knew how to develop a team it would be Jack. Bad call whoever got him axed that's all I'm saying.

Also the main thing about bwc isnt choosing the "best" player arround to cap, but choose the ppl that you know that will show and make ppl show to play and thats why other bwcs have failed in the past.

It not against you that people arguing so hard because i garuntee if it wasn't you it would be some1 else they will be bad mouthing. Although my boi Andre is soft compared to me as cap, he is still the best choice, and probably the most easy choice for captain for his respectable area, just like mm89 was hands down captain for East USA.

But too your comment Jack, spidering is not easy to learn and you would get stomped hard core as many due if you faced real basing squads in playoffs so spidering does take alot of practice.

Nothing I say is going to change your opinion and I'm ok with that. For years now I haven't actually played in a TWL and finished due to work/fiance etc. and other priorities.

My previous post didn't get it's point across and for this I apologize. What I meant is spidering doesn't need any upkeep, I can aim, I can dodge, I know the angles, I know how to push, I know what to do. Note: out of place commas are great. I'm saying that it doesn't need practice once you know how to do it where as terring or sharking may, it may not as well I don't know just an assumption from what I've observed over the years.

Some people may need to practice, the comments I make are relating to my own personal experience so obviously it's subject to the individual. I know you like to argue for the sake of playing the ever so fun devils advocate and for this I applaud you for it is fun.

To say I would get stomped is rather absurd, if I had actually played in TWLB's over the past 5 or so years I'd be able to prove my point. Unfortunately I haven't so I can fully understand your doubts my friend.

There is a difference between leadership and skill. you definitely are a very skilled baser/javelin but unfortunately we decided on other players for leadership roles. In all seriousness, being a captain doesn't mean you make all the choices, people will be giving you their opinions here and there.

I think it's fair to say that basing is the easiest league to learn. If anyone can dodge a few spider bullets and rush at an enemy firing spider becomes easy, especially if you have decent sharks repelling for you and many walls to hide behind to recharge.
