Basing World Cup.

For those who want to know, I think Basing World Cup will commence in a few weeks. As soon as I get in touch with the other BWC Admins we will decide on the closure date for applications. Canada, keep in mind that drafting for the remainder Canadians player swill take place before matches will begin and after rosters are locked and secured.

That nation happens to be the one that you are geographically closest to and share many cultural traits with. We respect and recognize Ireland independece and the TEAM UK + IRELAND indicates there are 2 different political units and 5 (4 + 1) different countries united for one purpose: play bwc and have fun. We also had care to name the groups of participants of bwc as "teams" instead of "nations" mainly because we were based on geographic discretions in such a way we could make teams balanced. If Pressure Drop doesnt want to play for UK + IRELAND, we wont deny his wish, he just needs to pm me, dald or flabby and we change him, although, we will not draw back team names unless 100% of irish players ask for it.

As I already previously mentioned I turned down the captain spot for Finland because I'm having 16 hour school/work days for at least a good 3 weeks, and thus I won't really have time for subspace...which leads me onto my new question: when is bwc happening? (probably been asked before, but I can't be arsed enough to browse through 16 pages...)

I'm sensing a bias towards Scotland.

History tells us a story of use and abuse, this isn't to be taken personally. Scotland and Ireland have a common dislike towards England, and you can't blame them since England has used them against each other for a long god damn time. England is completely different than how it was, same with America during times of slavery. I think countries like England have matured, and are great example of a strong western nation but it's neighbours see the real history in how this great country came about.

i guess i just get angry because people in Scotland moan about the English and how we are "oppressing" them but then don't take the opportunity to do anything about it. If the Scottish people wanted to be independent they could be, but instead they seem keen to reinforce this victim mentality. Arguably the Scottish have been ruling over the English for sizeable periods of history (our current prime minister is Scottish), maybe its we the English who should be upset :P

I'm happy to play alongside any nation in SubSpace. Even the Germans. The UK has lost most of its independance to Brussels (Benelux owning us IRL :fear: )now anyway, theres not much left to fight for.
