I've always had a special place in my heart for you Disobligians Dabram It is a shame I'm too much of a bastard. I'll blame it on being a piece of shit American.

Anyway my friends, after speaking with Daldur and others I think having Vati as captain would be a good choice if he is up for it and of course if the powers at be agree.

If people would rather me remain captain even after my willingness to pass the torch I'll gladly remain ever vigilant in the pursuit of victory. Pursuing this victory and treating those who spoke poorly of me with the same love I provide my family. Even if the crowds gather and stone me and my close ones I'll love you even as I weep and embrace the ones I love. I'll love you the same, the same as you love those you mock and nod with as stones get tossed; tossed at your father for I love you the same as he.

At the end of the day though I have no hard feelings for anyone even if they speak poorly of me. There must be a valid reason I've provided them and if not then I'll blame it on the human condition and this world we live in.

I'd like to remain assistant though if possible, if not I understand and humbly accept the decision that is made.

HAHAHAHAHAHA, made my day / restored faith in the forums for me. Don't tell me that Jack has basing experience from 6 years ago on a line he maybe spidered twice for for a team that squaddissolved after they fell apart in the leagues they cared about. Just because TWL Staff was to crappy to put in playoffs immediately DOES NOT MEAN that Light in a TWLB Champion. Disoblige is, deal with it.

In Jack's defense, the Light comment came from Daldur. Jack has been on plenty basing-squads or squads that base. If he wouldn't be such a squadhopping bastard or would've been more active in those seasons he actually stayed on Disoblige during TWL he would've been a starting spider for us actually..
And although he's a squadhopping bastard, he's a really nice guy, he's one of those rare vets without the vet-attitude, in fact I've never come across anyone who hates Jack..

But yes, I think Vatican might know more current day basers than Jack, and he also always come across as a reasonable guy. Just like it makes sense that for Benelux it's now Trouper who's captain and not me or M_M God, since we're just not as active in the current basing scene..

Other teams should be more worried about their captain though imo.. not gonna name names. (OF COURSE THAT JEENYUSS GUY)

Nah it's fine, newer people don't know me and I don't really care. I stepped down as captain and I'm sure they'll be more successful without me. I would rather the crowd be happy over myself, I'm happy when others are.

Jack will be a good captain. He's got probably the most experience out of the W. USA lot and he's got some good advisors. The critics should be pleased to have him as a cap.

I do know how to base in todays basing game, the majority of the time I actually play in base in a decent game which is rare to find I MVP in spider.

For me base is by far the easiest league to play in and you don't need to spend hours fucking practicing in ?go base to be a good spider. Maybe for shark or terr or something and I could be wrong about those ships since I don't play them but they seem to require more than a spider, even if minimal.

I'm sick of trying to defend myself and I'm not going to be captain of the basing team, even though I would of been fair and kind to all involved.

Seems lately the basers are the ones with the ego problems where in the past that titles been held firmly by the warbirds. This is not meant in a bad way but just a gentle nudge to possibly reflect since I don't see any reason for me to be treated in this manner.

Good luck my friends and I'll still play as a spider on the team, if I'm good enough, I'm sure you can find some much better spiders who never MVP in base but spend all their time in TW flying the spider ship in this illustrious ?go base.

I'd usually post something sarcastic to this, but seeing as I'm captain of the UK+Ireland team I'll try and post something a little more constructive.

Firstly PD, the UK+Ireland team is weaksauce and we need every baser we can get.

Please put your politics aside and realise that Ireland and the UK are, geographically atleast, very close and in contemporary affairs the Irish and the British have made substantial steps to intergrate cultures and politics. Disappointingly, however, I have to say that the attitude you exude now is symptomatic of the rigidity of this historical problem and one of the reasons it is still not fully resolved. Also realise that this is not some insult to your nationality, political heritage or religious beliefs but a practical solution to an imperfect problem. I'm sure some French players wouldn't want to play with German players, I'm sure some anti-colonialists in the RoTW wouldn't want to play with some European players, I'm sure some North Americans wouldn't want to play with South Americans, but the fact is the distribution of players is not equal so the BWC staff are making the best of the situation.

So my Irish brother, fight with me in arms today and forget our conflicting past.
