    1. I could add another voting period, much like shrap, where users would vote on game style.
    2. I could add more fields during the ship type votes.

Both, I feel, aren't very aesthetically pleasing, but give me some feedback on which each of you would prefer.
just to be clear it's race to a certain number of kills, not racing around a map to a safety - yeah that was probably unnecessary, but i was getting confused for a sec

I think it would be better to use the second option - word it "any ship race" and then vote on how many kills instead of how many deaths.

The problem might be that the way you vote on ship is by entering the ship # instead of the old way. can you make it option 10? or 0? or replace anyship elim with anyship race? Or replace option 8 (are there shark elims?)

What's more fun than a race to # kills? Sure you could say it favors people suiciding, but they're not going to do as well dying and respawning as they would if they just didn't die in the first place. Whoever wins should still have a good k:d ratio, and if there isn't a big win bonus i don't see how it'll upset the elim ratings. Or it could be an option but doesn't count for ratings if a lot of people are against it. It's certainly better than a levi elim...
i never minded races. if i didnt feel like playing, id just spec and it would be over in like 2 minutes anyways

It was originally combined k/d of 500.

Well agreed, the spawning on top of a bullet sucks. Yet everyone faces that equally, it adds a uncontrollable factor to the game and I think thats a good thing. The skill part of it was refering to quick reaction, someone spawns in front of you, you need to be able to take him out on the first shot, fast, or he'll most likely get you.

If they(go javs) are left open people are still just going to go there, just like they are now even though they could be playing the same thing in belimbeta.
The elim/baseelim/baseelim2/javs arenas won't be replaced until beta testing is finished. I'm putting off the inevitable resistance of shutting them down as long as possible. :-)

Have you figured out how this works though?

Also, could you fix it so that the bnty starts at 200 as elim has always been. Helps with telling apart different ships as well as a couple of other points.
I didn't implement the deviation as I don't really see much use for it... let me know if you disagree. Sure I can set bounty to 200.

I know what this bot still needs! A sudden death option! When 2 players get to the end, sometimes they both have very low deaths. This means it will take a long time for the game to complete. Often times, it is nice to have a sudden death game, so next kill wins. It would be nice to not have to play that scenario out all the way to the end because it'll end up being very boring and could last 10+ minutes.

However, this could bring about some compliations. 2 players with high ratios could end up being at the end, so dying once would preserve both their ratios. However, I would rather do that than wait 20 minutes.

It made it so when the guy who was hiding got killed you could rack up a combo on him if you made it back to the center in time. Those guys who normally would run from a head-on conflict had no choice but to use some close range tactics once in a while.

And I agree that lagouts and specs that don't automatically eliminate players should add a death to their records.
