Secondly, you have to be the worst fucking dean of staff ever, never have I seen some dick try to go out of his way more to harass 3-4 players on his "wittle shitlist" instead of actually doing something meaningful and worthwhile for this zone. See the total events hosted in TW since 2002? Your efforts contributed a 1.34% of the total events in TW, staff is all about teamwork, not individuals boosting their egos.

Ara: events are not about quantity, rather it's all about quality if you ask me. wark was a good host, not the best one (duh!) but still a good host. at least better than most of our current ERs at the moment. any dumb nut could beat stargazers record if they just kept on hosting 1 round of hunt, most dangerous game and killer (or any other event that requires no effort - cough HTF cough).

Nice stats, unfortunately I doubt most of those really reflect true hosting, you could host 3-4 events in an arena and not do 3-4 zoners, and you could host lots of events when asking for *zoners from smods, and you could even host events while bots were down.

Also I am pretty sure that QS trained some of the zones best warbirds, can you say that your role as dean has trained some of the zones best staff? I doubt it.

As for wanting to join staff I really don't want to rejoin, I don't have the time anymore nor do I really want have the urge to join up with a majority of who is on staff now. Now I mean I have my family but you are what, 30 years old and spend a majority of your time being a dean of this zone, and a terrible one at that. I mean you have 2d power and I actually have something worthwhile going on for my life so I can sure you understand my decision.

And I was a dick on Wark also, but it was overlooked because I hosted so well, I changed my dueling name at the request of the current dean and my forum name was "changed for me" as to not make staff look bad. Hilarious how times have changed now where one of the deans has to login and purposefully lie, hide the facts, and otherwise lower himself to the level of a common shit talker in order to try to get revenge on a player he "has it out for".

But anyways in the end this game is dying, and you and I both seem content to make me want to play less, so I guess you are doing your job pretty well as in overseeing the demise of this game, overseeing the death of what was once a respected staff, and holding your head up high at being able to have ultimate powerz over the handful of players who still play this game competitively.

reality:

wark <er> was only as good as htf <er> or charis <er> and was on staff a very long time, and yet hosted less than a lot of other ERs that were only on for a few months. his so-called 'good' events were those such as EACM, which was literally zombies with terrs instead of spids.

by the numbers, even left_eye was a better staffer

Wark <ER> first caught my eye with his excellent hosting of ?go tournament. It ran so smoothly that I thought that it was automated. I'd personally like to see ara host ?go tournament with no mistakes, infact any of the current staff.
Wark made all his events fun and added his own twists to the game, I don't think I see that shit anymore. I don't even bother going to the events hosted these days because they are hosted so badly. Seriously, who wants to play an event like gatez3 when 10 people come to play, who can't dodge and all have a total usage of 60 hours.
Don't get me wrong kthx can be a prick at times with his trolling, but you can't slate his hosting skills because he was one of greats.
And as for this thread. Yes, staff is voluntary and you guys don't get paid to it. If that's your attitude and then don't be staff. There's a lot of people who want it and will actually help people.

there's a simple reason that the staff turnover rate has been so high recently, it's because staff is not fun anymore, in fact it's thankless and utterly mind-numbing and the players, NOT the deans, are the reason for this, i for one embrace the apathetic attitude that some staffers have adopted because the players have become nothing more than a bunch of parasites and don't deserve positive change in the least
